• Take capsule form with meal to increase absorption and take the liquid formulation on an empty stomach to increase absorption.1
• Take calcium and magnesium supplements and antacids separated by at least two hours from the medication.2
• Use with caution in diabetes because the drug can increase the effect of oral antidiabetic drugs. Monitor sugar levels.3
• St. John’s Wort may interfere with some antifungal agents: ketoconazole and itraconazole, metabolized by the cytochrome P-450 pathway.4
• The German Commission E warns that the presence of antimycotics (antifungal drugs) can affect the activity of brewer's yeast.5
