• Limit or avoid caffeine1
• There may be taste changes associated with nicotrol use.2
• Nicotine may increase insulin absorption, use with caution in diabetic patients.3
• Lobeline, as found in the herb lobelia, has similar properties with nicotine and may increase side effects of the drug if used together.4
• Avoid cola, cocoa, guarana and mate due to their caffeine content.5
