Lotrisone
side effects, nutrient depletions, herbal interactions and health notes:
Data provided by Applied Health
• Potent topical corticosteroid preparations, e.g., Lotrisone, in children may compromise the immune system and deplete several important nutrients. Discuss multivitamin supplementation with long term use with a pharmacist.1
• Ephedra (Ma huang) may increase the clearance of Lotrisone and therefore decrease its effectiveness.2
• Licorice may affect the action of Lotrisone and should be avoided with the medication.3
• Aloe vera used topically may intensify the effects of topical steroids.4
