• It may be advisable to give renagel with a multivitamin due to possible depletion of vitamins D,E, K and folic acid.2
• The drug should not be used if there are any gastrointestinal problems.3
• The drug may also affect calcium, chloride and bicarbonate levels, monitor these levels.4
• Indian hemp and European goldenrod have been used homeopathically for the treatment of renal disease, these should not be used with renagel without consulting a physician.5
