The Dr. Hotze Report: Good things happen when the human body is balanced – Brighteon.TV

Good things happen when people keep their body in balance, according to Dr. Donald Ellsworth.

"Our whole goal is to identify what's out of balance and put back in what's missing. And if something is in the body that doesn't belong, like yeast overgrowth, we're working to get rid of it. We're calling down the reactions with our allergy program. And what we find is that when the body is in balance, inevitably good things happen," Ellsworth told host Dr. Steve Hotze during the May 30 episode of "The Dr. Hotze Report" on Brighteon.TV.

Ellsworth, who joined the staff at the Hotze Health & Wellness Center in 2003, also talked about treating airborne allergies, food allergies, chemical sensitivities, yeast overgrowth, thyroid issues, bioidentical hormone issues and vitamin and mineral deficiencies, which are part of the Hotze Health & Wellness Center's eight-point treatment regimen.  (Related: The gut's role in food allergies: Scientists identify changes in gut microbiota that may prevent or even reverse food allergies)

The family medicine doctor added that core imbalances going on in the body can be due to a toxin building up in the body or a key deficiency like iron deficiency. He said that addressing these issues can make a big difference in a person's health.

People are sick because of high levels of toxins and low levels of nutrients or natural hormones

Hotze said the human body has an amazing restorative power to heal itself. The co-founder and CEO of the Hotze Health & Wellness Center in Houston, Texas also pointed out that people are basically sick because they either have high levels of toxins or low levels of nutrients or natural hormones in their body.

The renowned author and speaker also mentioned the importance of helping people detoxify through the Hotze Health & Wellness Center eating program as well as its vitamin and mineral program on detoxification.

Ellsworth, who served in the United States Air Force for four years as a medical officer, said detoxification depends on what people are trying to detoxify and which way they are going with it. He also noted the importance of identifying the clinical imbalances that occur and getting to the root of the problem.

According to Ellsworth, asking questions and getting background information from the patient often give a clue as to where the imbalances may lie. He also mentioned doing a physical exam and strategic testing.

"So we have a strong emphasis on using history and physical. And integrating that with the labs rather than the basis of medicine that I think most doctors walk away with after their training. And they really rely overly on labs and imaging studies to make every decision. So all of those things are useful, but the limitations of those are very much underappreciated. And doctors typically overlook or over-diagnose things based on that," Ellsworth said.

Hotze noted that when doctors listen to patients, the patients will always tell the doctors what their problem is.

Patients at the Hotze Health & Wellness Center are evaluated and recommended treatment using a natural approach to health. The physicians at the Hotze Health and Wellness Center also don't rely on pharmaceutical drugs as solutions to the health problems of people. Hotze said they're doing that not to mask symptoms, but to find out what the underlying causes are.

Doctors often look at patients and fail to give the right diagnosis of a particular illness. Some even think of the symptom as the illness.

"And if that's the case then you look for the pill for the ill. And it becomes an unfortunate thought in doctor's minds that good medicine is giving a drug for a symptom when that's really just symptom management. And that's certainly not where you want to be stopping that. If such a thing needs to be done, that should be a stop-gap while you're determining the root issue," Ellsworth said.

Ellsworth noted that the underlying cause of an illness can be one, two or sometimes 10 things, and knowing the simple things can make a difference in treating a patient's health condition.

"So you always have to approach all the issues that are off. And we emphasize at the Hotze Health & Wellness Center that you really want to make sure you're addressing all the core issues, and lifestyle change is always important. And getting enough sleep, eating the right foods and doing the yeast cleanse, which we often find to be foundational," Ellsworth said.
