But the company didn’t take it. Instead, officials chose to hide.
And now we have to wonder: Are Trump’s lawyers right? Was Dominion in on the massive fraud Trump’s legal eagles are claiming to any journalist curious enough to wonder?
“The members of the state government committee were looking forward to publicly addressing the plethora of accusations of Dominion Voting Systems in a format which would have allowed open and honest dialogue. I was impressed at what appeared to be the willingness of Dominion Voting Systems to address accusations, and it would have put the 1.3 million Pennsylvanians who used their machines at ease, including myself,” state Rep. Seth Grove, a Republican who chairs the Government Oversight Committee, said during a press conference Friday.
“Unfortunately, last evening, Dominion Voting Systems lawyered up and backed out of their commitment.”
In all, 14 counties in Pennsylvania used Dominion electronic voting machines. Grove said that 1.3 million state residents cast their ballots with those machines, The Epoch Times reported.
“Instead of running towards the light of honesty and integrity, Dominion Voting Systems retreated to the darkness. Why? Why would a vendor of public goods fear discussing their products sold to the public for the public good?” Grove asked.
“If Dominion’s products were successful and operated as they were supposed to, why wouldn’t Dominion take the opportunity to publicly review its success? How hard is it to say, ‘our ballot machines worked exactly as promised, and they are 100 percent accurate'?”
Continuing, he said: “If they have nothing to hide, why are they hiding from us?”
“Not only are Pennsylvanians more skeptical, but the actions of Dominion voting systems last night have lent credibility to their accusers’ accusations,” Grove said, noting further that “to date” Democratic Secretary of State Kathy Boockvar has no plans “to address any concerns” about election integrity.
Another Pennsylvania Republican, Rep. Dawn Keefer, asked her own questions.
“Transparency is key for our election security. Dominion Voting Software is asking us to give them only blind trust. We’re very disappointed in Dominion’s last minute cancelation in today’s hearing,” she said. “Were test runs done, conducted before the election? Were they done after the election? How do we know?
“Does Dominion use open-source software so that observers can go in and see exactly what switches are being turned on and turned off? We don’t know,” Keefer continued.
“Transparency is key so if they’re doing this, if they used open-source software, right, we would know what’s going on there. The average observer could take a look to see what that process is. Moreover, how tightly controlled is the source code, and who has control of that source code?” Keefer noted. At a Thursday press conference, Trump campaign attorneys Rudy Giuliani and Sidney Powell pointedly called out Dominion and the software used by the company for alleged voter fraud. They both claimed that the campaign was now in possession of hundreds of sworn affidavits from witnesses, statisticians and Dominion whistleblowers to substantiate their allegations.
“I can tell you that the company was started with Venezuelan money in Venezuela for the express purpose of rigging elections for Hugo Chavez,” Powell told Fox Business Network host Maria Bartiromo Friday morning.
“I fully expect we will be able to prove all of it in court within the next two weeks, although the fraud case itself doesn’t have to be done within the two weeks,” Powell said, laying out a potential timetable for court action. “But we have more than enough evidence now. We have more evidence now than we then have the present population is imprisoned on. Of this egregious fraud. I mean the evidence is really stunning Maria.”
