This is what New York Governor Andrew Cuomo reportedly believes, having stated during a recent broadcast of MSNBC's "Live" program that the reason our planet sometimes experiences extreme weather is basically because people aren't willing to pay for their carbon credits.
According to Cuomo, who also thinks it's great that women are now able to murder their babies after birth, it's not just hurricanes that are a new global warming phenomenon: flooding is also a consequence.
"Anyone who questions extreme weather and climate change is just delusional at this point," Cuomo declared with a straight face.
"We have seen in the state of New York what everyone has seen. We see these weather patterns that we never had before. We didn't have hurricanes. We didn't have superstorms. We didn't have tornadoes. This is a storm that came up just overnight, dropped about five inches of rain, and it was literally a matter of life or death for people."
What Cuomo is referring to are hurricanes that travel up the eastern seaboard and occasionally hit New England, which has probably been happening since the beginning of time. But in Cuomo's world, nothing bad ever really happened before about the 1970s when global warming was first introduced to the masses.
"I was at one of the sites this morning, a river overcame its banks with five inches of water, ran through a residential neighborhood," Cuomo further stated, blaming things like America's withdrawal from the Paris Climate Accord for this particular flood event.
"The streets looked like rivers themselves. People we're trapped in their homes. The one home you're mentioning was people were afraid the house itself was going to be swept away. Luckily we train with the swift water rescue teams, and they literally took five people out of the home, including an infant, but it was a very dangerous and very precarious situation."
None of this would have happened, in Cuomo's opinion, if people would simply stop eating animal meat and switch to "plant-based" alternatives like soy-filled "Beyond Meat" patties.
"Thank God we have the best first responders, I believe, in the United States, and everyone got off safely," Cuomo stated, pretending to care about the people of his state. "But this is a recurring pattern, and anyone who is still in denial is making a very serious mistake."
Bad weather just wasn't a thing before climate change came into the picture, is essentially Cuomo's argument. In the same way that climate kid Greta Thunberg is going around freaking out and having public meltdowns over the "climate catastrophe," Cuomo never misses an opportunity to blame everything bad that happens in New York on global warming.
Ironically, the biggest recurring pattern from leftist politicians and their exploited child actors is injecting climate propaganda into everything they say and do. Is that a thunderstorm brewing in the distance? Must be climate change! Having a bad hair day? It's that pesky global warming again. You get the picture.
"The Hurricane of Independence that struck in 1775 killed 5,000 people in the Philadelphia region and wiped everything out," noted one Breitbart News commenter about known weather events that, contrary to Cuomo's claims, did occur long before climate change was a logical word pairing on anyone's minds.
