Democrats prove once more they are ALL-IN for the ChiComs by blocking measure that would curb Beijing’s influence

Anyone who has followed politics for any length of time and is an honest broker of events knows beyond any doubt that the Communist Chinese government’s biggest allies in the United States are Democrats.

And that’s a big reason why, according to U.S. intelligence, the ChiComs are backing “China” Joe Biden to beat President Donald Trump in November.

In recent years, the Trump administration has been tracking the mounting influence of the Chinese government on American society, and in particular through the infiltration of our institutions of higher learning. Using a vehicle known as the Confucius Institute, a Beijing-funded propaganda curriculum, China has managed to spread false information that paints the authoritarian regime in a more favorable light.

The Senate recently passed, in a bipartisan manner, legislation that would dramatically curb the spreading of ChiCom propaganda via American colleges and universities, but the regime’s pals in the Democrat-controlled House, starting with Speaker Nancy Pelosi of California have blocked it.

The Washington Free Beacon reports:

House Democrats are blocking a bill that will curtail the influence of the Chinese-government-funded Confucius Institute, stymying bipartisan legislation that unanimously passed in the Senate.

Despite bipartisan support in the upper chamber, House Democrats—including a cosponsor for the bill—voted against placing the CONFUCIUS Act on the agenda in late July, and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.) has yet to announce plans to place the bill on the floor. If passed, the legislation would require all federally funded universities with Confucius Institutes to assume "full managerial control" of the institutes, a move that would limit the Chinese government's influence over the program.

Because they know what a national security risk China actually presents, Republicans are angry and frustrated with Pelosi for blocking a bill that helps Beijing undermine our country every single day it isn’t passed and signed into law.

“I regret that Speaker Pelosi has still not scheduled the CONFUCIUS Act for a vote," said Rules Committee Ranking Member Tom Cole of Oklahoma, who introduced the July vote. "This isn’t about politics. It’s about holding China accountable, and Speaker Pelosi clearly hasn’t made that a priority.” (Related: Twitter proves it’s in bed with Communist China after censoring scientist who alleges COVID-19 was created in a Wuhan lab.)

Democrats, of course, have a history of aiding China by blocking bipartisan legislation that came from the Senate aimed at holing Beijing to account.

In March, as the Wuhan coronavirus began to spread across our country, Democrats in the House blasted a measure that pushed back hard against China, demanding that Beijing recount its ridiculously unfounded conspiracy that it actually originated in a Pentagon-run lab, calling the bill ‘racist.’ In addition, in a last minute decision, House Democrats in February dropped out of a then-bipartisan China task force without explanation.

In 2017, at its peak, the Confucius Institute had more than 100 branches in colleges and universities around the U.S. where students were taught to speak Mandarin, China’s principle language. Government-vetted instructors were not permitted to talk about anything that the ChiCom authoritarians deemed sensitive, like human rights (or, really, the lack of them) in Xinjiang and Tibet.

Bipartisan senators are rightfully concerned that the program is giving Beijing far too much influence over American campuses — far more than China would ever allow regarding American influence in its colleges and universities.

But because Pelosi appears to be a ChiCom sympathizer, the legislation isn’t going anywhere, and the Chinese government will continue to undermine American national security using a long-term program of political subterfuge. It’s classic Communism.

The act, introduced by Sen. John Kennedy (R-La.), unanimously passed the upper chamber in June.

“If Speaker Pelosi is blocking the CONFUCIUS Act in the House after every single Senate Democrat supported its passage, it's worth asking why," Kennedy told the Washington Free Beacon. "Do House Democrats and the speaker want to give [Chinese President] Xi Jinping more influence over what gets taught on American campuses? Does academic freedom annoy just their caucus in general?”

The answer, apparently, is yes.
