As the streets of Portland descend into third-world war zone status, fake news networks like CNN, CBS, ABC, and NBC have been pretending as though nothing at all is going on, shielding the truth from their viewers and creating the false illusion that these left-wing militants are merely "peaceful protesters."
During a recent episode of Fox News' "Special Report" program, anchor Bret Baier blew the lid on the Portland situation, calling out Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler for his complicity in not only tolerating, but also encouraging, radical BLM and Antifa terrorists who are continuing to "protest" with no end in sight.
"A top Trump administration official is condemning how the City of Portland is dealing with protests that have turned into nightly clashes with law enforcement, sometimes violent," Baier stated. "And the mayor is blaming federal forces for inciting the violence."
Over the weekend, in fact, Wheeler made it abundantly clear that he has no interest whatsoever in maintaining any semblance of normalcy in Portland, demanding that President Donald Trump remove all federal agents from the city.
"Keep your troops in your own buildings, or have them leave our city," Wheeler told the president during a recent news conference.
Check out the following episode of The Health Ranger Report as Mike Adams, the Health Ranger, addresses some of the valuable lessons being learned from all of this George Floyd-inspired violence:
What apparently set Wheeler off was the use of tear gas by federal agents to try to disperse the violent crowds from Portland's streets. Since local law enforcement has presumably been told to stand down, these federal agents are intervening in an attempt to uphold at least some semblance of law and order.
Leftists like Wheeler are trying to spin the narrative to make law enforcement the bad guys once again, using inflammatory descriptions like "chemical agent" or "chemical irritant" to describe the relatively soft weapons being used by federal agents to try to contain all of the chaos.
"They do that intentionally to draw on connotations of despots gassing their people with poisons," writes Nicholas Fondacaro for Newsbusters, further emphasizing this point.
According to national correspondent Will La Jeunesse, these federal agents are merely responding to claims made by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) that the so-called protesters in Portland "set fire, sprayed graffiti, and assaulted police with cans, rocks, fireworks, lasers, and slingshots."
In one disturbing incident, an alleged assailant is now being charged for "assaulting a U.S. Marshall with a hammer."
"Wheeler insists that the protesters are largely peaceful and want federal police to leave Portland altogether," La Jeunesse further stated. But this is apparently not going to happen any time soon because, according to Acting Homeland Security Secretary Chad Wolf, "a federal courthouse is a symbol of justice," and "to attack it is to attack America."
"Instead of addressing violent criminals in the communities, local and state leaders are instead focusing on placing blame on law enforcement," he added.
As you may recall from back in 2018, Wheeler also took issue with federal agents going after Occupy ICE protesters who for weeks on end harassed and intimidated them as they entered and left the building. Wheeler, it turns out, had actually cheered on these angry and often violent mobs to continue wreaking havoc in front of the facility.
