And while that may sound like hyberbole, the fact is the process is already well underway.
As Pat Buchanan notes in a recent column, the signs are all around us, including in what most Americans would consider bastions of ‘progressive’ liberalism — blue cities, academia and entertainment:
Before our Black Lives Matter moment, one had not thought of the NBC networks as shot through with “systemic racism.” Yet, what other explanation is there for this week’s draconian personnel decision of NBCUniversal chairman Cesar Conde.
According to Conde, the white share of NBC’s workforce, now 74% and divided evenly between men and women, will be chopped to 50%. Persons of color — Blacks, Hispanics, Asians, Native Americans and multiracial folks — are to rise from the present 26% of NBCUniversal’s workforce to 50%.
What’s Conde saying, exactly? Only that he plans to either slash the number of whites who are currently working at the network or get rid of them by attrition through purposeful, intentional (and highly illegal/unconstitutional) discrimination.
There is no other way to characterize what he put in a memo to employees last week as the new chief of operations. What’s really amazing — and proof in and of itself how far this new “systemic racism” against white people has come — Conde was confident enough that he, a Hispanic man, would not be challenged that he wrote it down.
“(W)e have a unique responsibility to look like and reflect all of the people of the country we serve,” Conde claims. But isn’t he? After all, according to the most recent census, “white alone, percent” constitutes 76 percent of the country. But at NBC News, ‘officially,’ the number of whites won’t exceed 50 percent, at best.
“America has succeeded as a meritocracy where excellence was rewarded, be it in athletics or academics. Our Olympic teams have triumphed when we send the best we had in every event,” Buchanan writes. But no longer; today, ‘systemic racism’ pervades the American Marxist movement, which just so happens to dominate virtually every sector of our pop culture: Entertainment, academia, science, the media, corporate boardrooms, and, increasingly, our politics as Republicans who don’t go along are shamed and silenced.
There’s more. (Related: Facebook bans “boogaloo” groups but not violent Antifa, Black Lives Matter terrorists.)
In recent days, the City of Seattle held a re-education seminar whereby whites were guilt-shamed into admitting they are contributors to “white supremacy” — in a city that would be as foreign to (dwindling) groups like the KKK as Hillary Clinton is to honesty.
Christopher Rufo at City Journal, via a freedom of information act request, discovered the ‘program.’
“Last month, the City of Seattle’s Office of Civil Rights sent an email inviting ‘white City employees to attend a training session on ‘Interrupting Internalized Racial Superiority and Whiteness,’ a program designed to help white workers examine their ‘complicity in the system of white supremacy’ and ‘interrupt racism in ways that are accountable to Black, Indigenous and People of Color,’” he wrote.
These are just a few examples. But there are literally thousands more. And in a country that fought a civil war to end slavery, passed a series of constitutional amendments to guarantee the founders’ vision of equality, convulsed and then grew through the civil rights movement, and passed legislation prohibiting all forms of discrimination — none of this race-shaming should exist.
When the American Marxist Left screams “systemic racism,” what they’re really doing is tipping white people off to what’s in store for them.
