They are members of an organization known as the Global Climate Intelligence Group (GCIG), a part of the Climate Intelligence Foundation, a think tank operating in the fields of climate change and policy.
The GCIG members come from all over the world, including Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, the United Kingdom and the United States. (Related: Bond villain-like mad climate scientist and virtue signaling CEO named "Iseman" (like Iceman) wants to freeze the world by polluting the skies with sulfur particles.)
The GCIG lays out five main arguments supporting its claim. First, the group pointed out that the geological evidence proves that the planet's climate regularly varies "with natural cold and warm phases." The latest significant variation, known as the Little Ice Age, began at around the 13th or 14th century and only ended around the middle of the 19th century.
Next, the organization noted how climate models are "inadequate," and those that claimed the world was rapidly warming are false. "The world has warmed significantly less than predicted by the IPCC [Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change] on the basis of modeled anthropogenic forcing."
These climate models also "blow up the effect of greenhouse gases" such as carbon dioxide, which the organization noted is needlessly demonized. CO2, the group argues, is not a pollutant like climate scientists claim, but an essential ingredient to all life on earth.
"More CO2 is beneficial for nature, greening the Earth. Additional CO2 in the air has promoted growth in global plant biomass," the group wrote. "It is also good for agriculture, increasing the yields of crops worldwide."
Furthermore, the GCIG pointed out that, despite claims from climate scientists, global warming has not actually increased the rate or severity of natural disasters around the world.
"There is no statistical evidence that global warming is intensifying hurricanes, floods, droughts and suchlike natural disasters, or making them more frequent," the group wrote. "However, there is ample evidence that CO2 mitigation measures are as damaging as they are costly."
As an addendum to the GCIG's statement, the scientists warned that there is no climate emergency, and climate policy needs to be depoliticized by divorcing it from the hijacked environmental movement.
"There is no climate emergency," the GCIG wrote. "Therefore, there is no cause for panic and alarm. We strongly oppose unrealistic net-zero CO2 policy proposed for 2050. If better approaches emerge, and they certainly will, we have ample time to reflect and re-adapt."
Climate policies moving forward need to actually be in line with scientific evidence. In particular, the GCIG warned that scientists need to recognize that computer models supposedly predicting climate change a man-made, and their predictions are heavily influenced by the "theoreticians and programmers" who made them.
"To believe the outcome of a climate model is to believe what the model makers have put in. This is precisely the problem of today's climate discussion to which climate models are central," the group wrote. "Climate science has degenerated into a discussion based on beliefs, not on sound self-critical science. We should free ourselves from the naive belief in immature climate models. In (the) future, climate research must give significantly more emphasis to empirical science."
Furthermore, the GCIG noted that climate policy needs to respect "economic realities."
"The aim of global policy should be 'prosperity for all' by providing reliable and affordable energy at all times," the group wrote. "In a prosperous society, men and women are well educated … and people care about their environment."
