"For him [Biden] to come out and blame gas stations shows you a window into the minds of the controllers that they think the public is so stupid that they want to first misdirect and say [Russian President Vladimir] Putin did it. But even the Federal Reserve admits that's not the case. And now it's the gas station," he said.
Biden spoke at a labor union event last June 22 at the Eisenhower Executive Office Building and publicly criticized oil and gas executives for banking big profits from high gasoline prices. "Bring down the price you are charging at the pump to reflect the cost you are paying for the product. Do it now. Do it today. Your customers, the American people, they need relief now," Biden said.
Jones stated during the June 26 episode of his show that it is unbelievable for the president to be ordering the gas companies to lower their prices when his policies are the direct cause of the price hike.
The host explained that most gas stations lose money on gas by the time they pay for the regulations, the tanks and the maintenance. He also noted that gas tax had been suspended in most states.
"It's still at $5 a gallon on average because he shut off thousands of pipelines, including the big Keystone Pipeline when it was already completed. He cut all of the drilling permits, which just means Venezuela and China and everybody else just comes and drills it. And then we buy it from other countries," Jones said.
"Until recently, a gallon of gas was cheaper than a gallon of water. Because the U.S. was one of the top oil producers in the world. It was number one under [former President Donald] Trump. Now it's number three."
In mid-June, Biden sent a letter to the executives of British Petroleum, Chevron, Marathon Petroleum, Phillips 66, Shell, Valero Energy and Exxon Mobil saying that refinery profit margins well above normal being passed directly onto American families at a time of war are not acceptable. Biden proceeded to denounce Putin. "He [Putin] is principally responsible for the intense financial pain the American people and their families are bearing. But amid a war that has raised gasoline prices more than $1.70 per gallon, historically high refinery profit margins are worsening that pain," Biden stated in the letter.
The president also threatened to use "emergency authorities"' if the oil companies do not follow his call.
"Your companies and others have an opportunity to take immediate actions to increase the supply of gasoline, diesel, and other refined products you are producing," Biden said in the letter.
"My administration is prepared to use all reasonable and appropriate Federal Government tools and emergency authorities to increase refinery capacity and output in the near term, and to ensure that every region of this country is appropriately supplied."
Analysts think that Biden is running economic fascism in his government as he is dictating the prices to the business owners. He is basically telling them how to run their business.
"What Biden is threatening is certainly not free enterprise," Steve Byas, author and contributor at the New American website.
He added that Biden used a law that was passed during the administration of President Harry Truman to allow him to demand private businesses shift resources in the time of war.
"Such a takeover of private business is bad enough during wartime, but in Biden's case, there was no war. The only action that government needs to take to increase the production of a good that is in high demand is to get out of the way. Businesses are in business to make money. No one has to tell them to increase production when there are people who want to buy their product," Byas said.
