Independent advisers for the FDA approved the Pfizer-BioNTech shot for children five to 11 years old on Oct. 26. The advisers focused on three factors – the vaccine's effectiveness, the potential risk of serious side effects like heart inflammation and the COVID-19 pandemic's social and physical effects – before issuing a recommendation.
According to an analysis by FDA scientists, the benefits of getting injected with the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine "clearly outweigh" its risks of myocarditis and pericarditis. Furthermore, data from the two drug companies say the mRNA shot is 90.7 percent effective in preventing COVID-19 in the five-to-11-year-old group.
FDA adviser Paul Offit defended his decision to approve the vaccine, saying that myocarditis – heart muscle inflammation – tends to be less common in pre-adolescent children. "Making these decisions can be difficult and nerve-wracking, but they are not made when you know everything. The question is when do you know enough," he said.
Pediatrics professor Jay Portnoy, another FDA adviser, also defended his decision to approve Pfizer's shot for children. "Our kids are going to be dealing with this virus for many years to come. Getting the vaccine is just the first step that they're going to take toward being able to protect themselves."
Ardis displayed a list of FDA advisers who voted in favor of approving the Pfizer-BioNTech shot for children. The list includes the email addresses of Offit, Portnoy, FDA Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research Director Peter Marks and FDA Acting Commissioner Janet Woodcock.
"I would like to ask everybody to email those people and find out why they approved it. I put those emails there because I need everyone in America who's upset about that to email them directly," the Brighteon.TV host said. The chiropractor said he wants "as many people as possible" to find out why the FDA approved the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for children despite the risks. "Why did they approve this, when it's already been shown [that] it has injured [and] maimed a whole bunch of people? I'm not OK that they actually sat through an entire meeting all morning yesterday, and then said there's no data that supports risks [outweighing] the benefits of the shots for [children] five to 11 years old."
Ardis cited the FDA fact sheet for the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, which outlines the risks associated with it. These fact sheets are also available for the Moderna mRNA shot and the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
"What are some of the risks associated with this shot that they just [expanded] the emergency use authorization for? It actually lists side effects that have been reported with this vaccine … including myocarditis [and] pericarditis, [the] inflammation of the lining outside the heart. This is the FDA document, so they know that these are side effects of the vaccines."
He also looked at the FDA fact sheet for the Moderna mRNA vaccine. Similar to the document for Pfizer, the risks for the two-dose vaccine include myocarditis, pericarditis and fainting. Ardis pointed out that fainting is actually linked to cardiac inflammation.
"It mentions fainting in association with the injection of the vaccine. That means some people get queasy and they pass out. However, did you know that a symptom of myocarditis is actually called syncope? Passing out, going unconscious and fainting – that's a side effect, a complication of myocarditis," Ardis explained.
"They are … going to be injecting you with a shot they know causes inflammation of your heart muscle, which actually is a cause for congestive heart failure. How many of you think your five- to 11-year-old children deserve to start off their teenage years or adolescent years with congestive heart failure caused by myocarditis?" (Related: FDA trying to hide data showing Pfizer's covid "vaccine" is seriously injuring children.)
He continued: "There's no way on the planet anybody's convincing me or my children that they should get these shots. I have five kids [and] none of them are going to have this. I don't agree with any of it, it's disgusting. I am not okay with the amount of injury and harm that's going to come to these children, [which] the FDA already knows about. As much as these institutions and federal health agencies are okay with hurting you, maybe even killing you – I am not okay with it. So somebody's got to stand for you, try to protect you and give you information."
