Twitter allows the Taliban to tweet anything they want, but Americans who oppose deadly vaccines are silenced
08/18/2021 // Ethan Huff // Views

Conservatives may not be allowed to freely speak on the Twitter platform, but the Taliban sure can.

Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-Tex.) is drawing attention to this double standard, calling out Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey for discriminating against American citizens at the same time as he coddles a foreign combatant group.

Former President Donald Trump was banned from Twitter entirely, but Islamic warlords are having the red carpet rolled out for them as they use the social media platform to broadcast their messages.

The Taliban proudly tweeted that its fighters had successfully taken over the capital city of Kabul in Afghanistan. Such messaging apparently does not violate Twitter's "community standards."

"Hey @jack why does the Taliban get an account?" asked Rep. Crenshaw. "You see what Americans are pissed about your BS standards?"

Zabihullah Mujad, a spokesman for the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, currently has a large following on Twitter of more than 277,000 accounts. Dorsey has no problem with Mujad using the Twitter platform to advance the Taliban agenda.

"We assured all embassies, diplomatic centers, institutions and places and foreign nationals in Kabul that they will not face any danger. Let everyone be in Kabul with full confidence, the forces of the Islamic Emirate are tasked with strengthening the security of Kabul and all other cities," a translation of Mujad's latest tweet reads.

Taliban says claims about underage girls being forced to marry is "poisonous propaganda"

For at least the past 24 hours straight, Mujad has been feverishly tweeting updates about the Taliban military's advancement throughout Afghanistan. Taliban spokesmen Dr. M. Naeem and Suhail Shaheen have also been tweeting nonstop from their Twitter accounts without penalty.

Shaheen has also been tweeting about how reports of the Mujahideen forcing underage girls into sex slavery is "poisonous propaganda" from the West.

"All those claims that the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan forces people to marry their young girls to Mujahideen are totally wrong," Shaheen wrote. "It is a poisonous propaganda."

Twitter has yet to fact-check these statements, but an NBC News "women's rights activist" and member of the Afghan delegation working to negotiate peace as the United States withdraws from Afghanistan says that young women are being made to "marry by force."

Fawzia Koofi says she and others have received reports about such claims, though they have not been verified. Koofi says she believes such activity, if it is happening, is probably not widespread.

She also told NBC News that it is very likely that the Taliban's political office is "disconnected with their military fighters," meaning it is not one single force calling all the shots.

At the same time, Koofi worries that women will be "targeted" under Taliban rule, and that the militant group is "afraid of women," but "not afraid of the world's superpowers."

Before U.S. troops invaded Afghanistan, the Taliban allegedly barred girls from attending school while mandating that they wear full-body garb while out in public. Women were also supposedly forced to have a male escort with them at all times when appearing in public.

"Crenshaw won't do anything but tweet about this," complained one commenter at Breitbart News. "He's the same guy who just stated a couple days ago that there was no fraud in the 2020 election."

"The conservatives are the Taliban, not the gay pride American army and the Neocons," commented another, offering a different perspective.

"He's a liar," wrote another about Crenshaw. "Crenshaw talks out of both sides of his lying mouth. He is an actor playing his role as controlled opposition."
