"At the sound of gunshots, prisoners fell lifeless to the ground. Their bodies, still warm, were carried to a nearby white van where two white-clad doctors awaited. Behind closed doors, they were cut open, the organs carved out for sale on the transplant market," The Epoch Times reported last week, adding that while this sounds "more like the plot of a horror movie," a former Chinese police officer says it's real and it happened at the direction of Beijing's authorities two decades ago.
The officer, called "Bob" to protect his identity, witnessed the ghastly slaughter at sites where prisoners sitting (not for long) on death row were systematically executed.
“The harvesting of death-row prisoners’ organs was an open secret,” Bob, a former public security officer from central China’s Zhengzhou City who is now living in the United States, told the outlet.
The Epoch Times adds:
Bob described being an unwitting participant in an “industrialized” supply chain that converted living humans into products for sale in the organ trade. The players in this macabre industry include the judicial system, police, prisons, doctors, and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) officials who issue the directive.
The former officer used a pseudonym in sharing his experience to protect his safety. The Epoch Times has verified his police ID and other personal information.
Bob's accounts, which date to the mid-1990s, dovetail with previous reporting by Natural News dating as far back as 2016.
In December of that year, Natural News reported that Christians were being singled out in particular for organ harvesting, based on a treatise written by David Kilgour, Esq., a former Asian administrator for Canada, and international human rights lawyer David Matas, Esq. Their account of what they saw and documented dates back to 2006, when Chinese authorities were singling out Chinese Falun Gong members who were "killed for their organs and the lucrative international organ transplant marketplace."
Why? In large part, the sale of the harvested organs, which generated at least $12 billion in profits according to the lawyers, was used to help finance China's military modernization efforts.
"...[T]here has been regime-sanctioned pillaging and trafficking in the vital organs of prisoners of conscience, overwhelmingly from practitioners of Falun Gong, but also Tibetans, Uyghurs, and some house Christians," the men wrote.
Natural News followed up that report with another in 2018 documenting that the Chinese government, which had vowed to end the practice of harvesting organs from prisoners and religious persecutions, was still obtaining nearly 90 percent of the country's 300,000 organs needed annually for transplants in 2010, from Falun Gong practitioners who were still alive (and, of course, against their will).
Bob's account builds on these previous reports and sheds new "light on one stage in the disturbing evolution of the CCP’s long-running practice of harvesting organs from non-consenting donors," The Epoch Times reported.
"While Bob witnessed organ extraction from prisoners who were already dead, in the following years the regime would go on to implement—and deploy on a mass scale—a practice far more sinister: harvesting organs from live prisoners of conscience, particularly Falun Gong practitioners," the outlet continued.
“As far as I know, no one told the death-row prisoners their organs would be extracted,” Bob told The Epoch Times, adding that often, executions and organ harvesting would occur before major holidays.
All their families got in return was a box of the executed prisoner's remains.
Meanwhile, the Biden regime and scores of American corporations continue to engage with China, the later doing business with Chinese corporations because making money at any cost to their conscience is more important than literally anything else.
Chief among these cooperating American companies are our Big Tech giants.
"Well, now we know why Big Tech suppresses stories unfavorable to Beijing’s chosen candidate Joe Biden while simultaneously giving Chinese Communist Party propaganda a megaphone," WND.com reported in October. "It turns out citizens of the People’s Republic of China run Facebook’s Department of Censorship."
When American officials pretend to hit China over its human rights abuses, the fact that we continue to do business -- literally -- with this kind of barbarous regime proves those officials aren't really serious about their contempt.
