Leaked Pentagon footage shows what appears to be pyramid-shaped UFOs swarming Navy warship

A leaked video currently under examination by the Department of Defense shows what appears to be pyramid-shaped unidentified flying objects (UFO) swarming a Navy destroyer at night. Documentary filmmaker and journalist Jeremy Corbell received the footage, along with detailed information on a classified Pentagon briefing about UFO sightings, from an anonymous source.

Together with journalist George Knapp, Corbell confirmed through people who were familiar with the matter that the leaked materials are authentic. Upon verification, the filmmaker posted the footage on April 8 on his website Extraordinary Beliefs.

The 18-second clip was taken in 2019 aboard the USS Russell using a form of night vision equipment. It opened to what appeared to be three faint orbs hovering in the night sky. The camera then panned to show a fourth, triangular object that seemed to be flickering repeatedly. The mysterious object was surrounded by two other faint triangular figures, though it was not clear whether these were more than lens flare.

The event appeared to tally up with a story that The Drive ran last month. The website reported that several drones swarmed a fleet of Navy Destroyers, including USS Russell, off the coast of California in July 2019.

More leaked UFO-related materials

Besides the footage, Corbell also shared three photos taken from the USS Omaha which showed an unidentified "spherical" craft. According to the information given to the filmmaker, the craft was suspected to be a "trans-medium" vehicle that could operate in the air and underwater.

The flying object was observed to have dived into the water without falling apart. A submarine was used to look for the craft, but it was not established if the UFO was found.

Last December, The Debrief reported that two classified reports on unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP) – the Pentagon's official term for UFOs – were being widely distributed to the U.S. intelligence community. One of the reports was issued last summer and included a "new and extremely clear" photograph of an unidentifiable triangular aircraft.

Federal officers who had seen it said that the image was taken in 2019 off the eastern coast of the United States by an F/A-18 fighter pilot. Two officials who read the report revealed that the photo was taken after the apparent UAP emerged from the ocean and ascended straight upward at a 90-degree angle. The officials added that the report focused on trans-medium vehicles, which it also referred to as "unidentified submersible phenomena." Corbell also received information on multiple UFO sightings in March 2019 by an Air Force pilot and the weapons systems officer sitting on the backseat. The officer snapped photos of three different UFOs that appeared within minutes of each other in the same airspace.

One of the images featured an acorn-shaped flying object that resembled the cube-shaped, motionless UFO captured in another Air Force photo. The latter was included in the other report mentioned by the Debrief, which was issued in 2018.

The rest of the pictures depicted a sphere-like object and a craft that seemed to have a lot of appendages. While the three vehicles did not perform spectacular maneuvers, they behaved unlike any drone or balloon known to the military.

Federal task force probes UFO sightings

Corbell's informants said that the events described in the leaked materials were discussed during the classified briefing arranged by the Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI).

"Those familiar with the briefing articulated to me that the goal was to de-stigmatize the UAP problem and to promote more intelligence collection regarding UAP incursions and encounters with active military deployments," Corbell said.

Pentagon spokesperson Susan Gough also confirmed that Navy personnel indeed took the footage and photos. She told Futurism that the Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force, a program within the ONI that is tasked to report and collect data on UAPs, included the incidents in their ongoing investigation.

Gough added that the Pentagon does not publicly discuss the details of any UAP or inquiry into such events to avoid disclosing information that may be useful to potential adversaries.
