(NaturalNews) It has been weeks since Vester Lee Flanagan, also known as Bryce Williams, shot and killed two former co-workers – TV journalist Alison Parker, 24, and her cameraman Adam Ward, 27 – as they were doing a live report one morning for a small station in Roanoke, Virginia.

Shortly after Flanagan – an African-American who was gay – murdered his victims in cold blood, and well before he killed himself as police closed in on him during the resultant manhunt, he faxed ABC News a 23-page "suicide-manifesto" in which he leveled numerous charges of racism, bigotry, homophobia and other disparaging remarks.

Since the incident, ABC News has only made some portions of the manifesto public. They have not released the entire multi-page screed.

Selective quotes

As noted by John Sexton in Breitbart News' "Big Journalism" section, the network news agency has also not given an explanation for why it is withholding the full contents of the manifesto from the public. Given that Flanagan is no longer among the living, there appears to be little rationale for not revealing it. After all, there is no pending trial and no reason to worry about any ongoing investigations or tainting evidence and potential jurors.

They only published a few excerpts on the day of the murders. In them, Flanagan claimed that the final straw prompting him to action was the Charleston church shooting. Speaking of white supremacist killer Dylan Roof, Flanagan wrote, "You (deleted)! You want a race war (deleted)? BRING IT THEN YOU WHITE... (deleted)!!!"

Now, a New York Times story published on August 27 described Flanagan's fax as containing three separate suicide notes, all of which had been written in a few short weeks leading up to the crime.

The report was sprinkled with various quotes pulled from the suicide notes and added some detail to what ABC News had initially reported, including his assertion that after he was fired by WDBJ in 2013, he killed his two cats in a rage and later buried them.

The Times further reported:

[H]e was, in his own words, putting on "a smiley face to disguise what was to come." Three separate suicide notes, typed within the last few weeks and sent to a news organization... document the homicidal rage that had apparently been building for years, culminating when Mr. Flanagan shot and killed a reporter and a cameraman for his former station before shooting himself in the head as the police closed in.

More insight, but not the complete picture

A few days later on August 31, the New York Daily News reported in an exclusive that Flanagan wrote letters ranting about his glory days as a $2,000-a-night male escort and a lack of sex.

Letters that were both typed and handwritten along with photos, student IDs and driver's licenses were shown to the Daily News by a close Flanagan friend, Robert Avent, who claimed to have spoken to a calm and collected killer just moments before he shot himself.

The paper said the notes provide new insight into the megalomaniacal Flanagan's mental state "as he made the decision to exact revenge" for an unsuccessful TV career he often blamed on others' racist, bigoted, homophobic intentions.

Speaking about his lack of sex, Flanagan wrote, as quoted by the Daily News, "I totally CANNOT score right now... And this is from a man who used to be paid hundreds an HOUR to sleep with men... one was a hot YOUNG guy in SF... he once asked, 'Can I f--- you?' He offered to give me $1,000... I playfully said, 'No.' Well, he gave me 2k."

While these snippets provide further insight into Flanagan's mindset, nothing but a full release of the entire 23-page manifesto will provide a complete picture. We await ABC News' decision to do so.
