This western diet is one of processed foods, red meat, refined carbohydrates, food additives, junk foods, snack foods, soft drinks, fried foods and similar substances. It makes up a reported 30% of the average American's diet (alarming!).

Avoiding chronic disease is relatively simple, believe it or not: just avoid all processed foods, refined carbohydrates, added sugars, and so on.
