Trump picked Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), his former rival from 2016, as secretary of state. Hedge fund mogul Scott Bessent, described as one of Trump's "biggest allies on Wall Street," is Trump's pick for treasury secretary. And Trump also wants veteran Pete Hegseth for defense secretary and Pam Bondi for attorney general.
Former software company executive Doug Burgum is Trump's pick for interior secretary while Brooke Rollins, who worked for Trump during his first term as director of the Office of American Innovation, is his pick for agriculture secretary.
Howard Lutnick, longtime Trump friend and CEO of financial services firm Cantor Fitzgerald, was chosen as Trump's commerce secretary. Lutnick, a well-known figure on Wall Street, will also co-lead Trump's transition team through his inauguration and installment.
Lori Chavez-Deremer was nominated as Trump's labor secretary pick while Robert F. Kennedy Jr. will head up the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
Scott Turner, who chairs the Center for Education Opportunity at the America First Policy Institute, is Trump's pick for director of HUD. And Fox News contributor Sean Duffy will head up the Department of Transportation (DOT).

Trump chooses several Project 2025 affiliates for his cabinet
Chris Wright of Denver-based Liberty Energy was nominated to be Trump's energy secretary while Linda McMahon, one of the creators of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), will head up the federal Department of Education.
Trump's pick for Veterans Affairs (VA) secretary is Doug Collins, another Fox News guest who served in Congress from 2013 through 2021.
South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem is Trump's choice for head of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) while Lee Zeldin, a former politician from New York, is Trump's pick for administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
Former Hawaii congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard was picked by Trump to head up the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) while Jamieson Greer, a former Air Force lawyer turned trade litigator, is Trump's choice for U.S. trade representative.
Trump ally Elise Stefanik, who used to be an aide for President George W. Bush, was chosen as Trump's ambassador to the United Nations (UN), even though Trump has said very little about the UN this time around.
Russell Vought, a major contributor to the Heritage Foundation's infamous Project 2025 scheme, is Trump's pick for director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), a role he also filled for part of Trump's first term. Vought is the third person closely involved in Project 2025 to be picked by Trump to join his incoming administration.
Attorney and four-term Republican lawmaker from Texas, John Ratcliffe will direct Trump's Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), a job he also held from 2020 through 2021 under Trump.
As for Trump's chief of staff, that role will go to Susie Wiles, who in 2021 joined Trump's Save America PAC. Wiles ran Trump's "operation" at Mar-a-Lago after he lost the election in 2020.
"Trump has a complicated history with the chief of staff role — he burned through four during his first term in office," reports Politico.
"The role will have the tall task of overseeing all policy and day-to-day White House affairs while navigating the competing factions already emerging in Trump's inner circle, including the addition of new and famous outside influences like Elon Musk and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. who are vying for power."
The chief of staff role, by the way, does not require Senate confirmation like the other positions do.
