The Bible nutrition educator based his sermon from the Gospels of St. Mark and St. John. According to St. John's account, Mary Magdalene went to Jesus' tomb early in the morning, However, she found that the stone sealing the tomb had been moved and Christ's body had been taken away.
Mary would later see Him appear in a different form, as He no longer appeared as the human vessel of the biological Jesus of Nazareth she had previously known. According to Adams, she saw Jesus but did not recognize Him due to the Messiah transcending His physical body.
Christ then told her that He is in the process of ascension, which means He is in between the realms of Earth and Heaven. Thus, His form is different from His body.
Jesus ultimately told Mary Magdalene not to cling to His material, biological body: "Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father" (John 20:17). Adams noted that this message is very important as Christ is reminding everyone that they are not just a physical body.
Mary Magdalene then went off and told the disciples about how she saw Jesus and what He told her. During the evening of the same day, Jesus appeared before His disciples who where gathered in a home with doors and windows shut "for fear of the Jews." After He greeted them, he showed His hands and His side to them, making the disciples glad.
"In other words, remember how his side had been pierced by the spear. His hands and His side were, in effect, the identification and proof of identity that this was in fact Jesus," Adams said.
During that same appearance, Jesus was also delegating the power of God's teachings to His disciples before breathing on them the Holy Spirit and the power to forgive sins. According to the Bible nutrition educator for the Church of Natural Abundance, this is an energetic covenant with mankind and Jesus was distributing the mass forgiveness of humankind through His disciples – who shall continue to teach, evangelize and spread the word of Christ and His teachings and the Word of Peace throughout the world.
This "breath of God" is an energetic, spiritual or cosmic covenant that is described as breath. Adams added that it is an animating and spiritual overlay over anyone who accepts Christ into their lives will have this covenant of protection from God. After eight days, Jesus appeared to His disciples once more – this time with St. Thomas (called the Twin). Thomas was absent when Jesus first appeared, leading him to doubt the Resurrection.
It was only after Jesus asked doubting Thomas to put his fingers in the wounds of His hands and touch His pierced side that the skeptic finally believed. According to Adams, Thomas' doubts dissipated when he realized that the resurrected Jesus – who had now transcended His physical body and had enough resemblance to be able to be recognized – was right in front of him.
The Brighteon.com and Natural News founder noted that St. Mark's version of the same event was shorter. The evangelist recounted that Jesus appeared first to Mary Magdalene before appearing in another form to two of His disciples who were traveling. Regardless of who wrote the account, Adams said Jesus is now appearing in a different form and He is transcending the biological realm because He is now the Spirit of the Lord.
"He can appear in any form He wishes. He's choosing to appear in forms that are familiar to the local people there, even though those forms may not resemble the Jesus of Nazareth that they remembered in terms of having the same face."
