The organic food supply chain imploded during the COVID years as farms were devastated by government-ordered lockdowns and shutdowns, often stemming from fraudulent, quack science PCR tests of farm workers. A government agent, usually from some sort of county or state health department, would swab all the workers, run some utterly non-calibrated PCR tests in a van in the parking lot, generate a single "positive" result and order the complete shutdown of the farm or food manufacturing operation. Mission accomplished.
This scenario was repeated many thousands of times across America. It drove countless farms completely out of business, which now appears to be the intended purpose all along. As a result, the supply of organic food materials suffered an extreme contraction, and many of the organic food items that used to be available year round are now available only seasonally, if at all.
Kamala's proposed price control scheme targeting groceries accuses food manufacturers of "price gouging" and "exploiting" consumers for profits which will soon be deemed illegal if Kamala wins the upcoming election. Sen. Elizabeth Warren parrots this false claim, saying, "Massive food corporations have kept prices up nationwide to exploit consumers and make a profit."
No reasonable profits allowed under communism
Notice how Sen. Warren equates "making a profit" with "exploiting consumers." Under communism, free market principles are not allowed to exist, and no business entity is allowed to earn a profit. The government determines all prices at both the retail and wholesale levels, and companies exist only to serve the power base of the government itself rather than consumers. Under such systems rooted in communism, food scarcity sharply increases while product quality and variety both suffer a devastating plunge. When governments set food prices artificially low, they inevitably create scarcity (empty shelves) which must be alleviated by forcing rationing on the population. This rationing, in turn, is enforced at gunpoint by government goons who arrest "food smugglers" or people who are buying and selling food outside the controlled government system. This would rapidly expand to include farmers' markets and CSA organizations across America (Community Supported Agriculture), which bring quality farm-fresh food to American homes, bypassing central food distributors and retailers.
So get ready for nationwide food scarcity and famine under Kamala. Tens of millions of Americans would, for the first time, suffer under what Democrats like to call "food insecurity."
Kamala's price control system would not, of course, make farming suddenly less expensive to operate. Thanks to accelerating currency printing by the Biden regime, the dollar currency is rapidly losing value. Government inflation numbers are deliberately deceptive and do not represent the real-world inflation reality of 15% - 20% annually, once you include groceries, insurance premiums, housing, electricity, utilities and other costs of living. Thus, the cost of farming is rising 15% - 20% each year, which is of course reflected in the price of farm products (i.e. food raw materials). We've experienced many cases where prices of food ingredients have gone up from 40% - 70% in one year.
Farms will be wiped out, leading to nationwide famine
The action of Democrats outlawing price increases at the retail level means that retailers won't be able to cover ever-increasing prices from wholesalers, and those wholesalers won't be able to pay ever-increasing prices from farmers. Since farmers are barely earning any margin at all, even in a good year, most farmers will have no choice but to go out of business. Kamala's communist-style price controls will cause a nationwide wipe out of food-producing farms.
This, obviously, will result in a sharp reduction of supply in food products at grocery stores. In a normal competitive environment, sharply reduced supply would result in rapidly rising prices due to consumer demand, and rising prices would send a signal to farms to switch over to producing this item in order to reap the financial rewards for doing so. But under Kamala's communist regime, no prices would be allowed to be raised, so no economic signals are sent to farms or wholesalers to adjust their output priorities. The result? Empty shelves. And no one would be incentivized to start new farms to create new supply, since you aren't allowed to earn a profit from such activities. Food riots won't take long to materialize, either.
Kamala's price controls, in other words, will make food "affordable" but non-existent. The official prices of food items will seem very affordable, but on the actual shelves at the store, no such items will exist because they cannot be produced at such prices. Democrats will no doubt declare victory at "keeping food prices affordable" while whitewashing the reality that no items are available at the prices they claim. I can declare that leaves of bread are just ten cents each, but if no actual loaves are available at ten cents, it's just propaganda and lies.
Government tyrants will blame "hoarders" for empty shelves caused by their wiping out of productive farms
Democrats like Kamala and Sen. Warren will, of course, explain away the empty shelves by blaming "black market operators" for "hoarding" all the food, and they will unleash armed government enforcers to track down and incarcerate people who dabble in bread barter or egg trades. Before long, you'll see garden seeds outlawed and weekend farmers' markets shutdown by edict of the regime. You'll also see "food hoarding" outlawed, which means anyone who planned ahead and stored extra food supplies could be targeted by the government for home food raids and government "inspections" of your pantry to make sure you haven't acquired more than your "fair share," as Democrats like to claim. (Again, this is all straight out of the former Soviet Union, and it's all been tried before, leading to miserable failure.)
The food supply across America will absolutely crater, both for organic and conventional foods. This, in turn, will cause waves of desperate, starving people to demand help from the government. That help will come in the form of biometric digital ID enforcement of government rations, where the government "gives" you some amount of rice, soy and bread, but only if your social credit score hasn't flagged you as a dissident or an anti-vaxxer. Yes, vaccine compliance will be fully required to receive your food rations.
Government goons will be dispatched to burn down home gardens for "public safety"
Meanwhile, Kamala's "food police" will begin a nationwide campaign of burning down home gardens by claiming they are "unsafe" and might harbor avian flu or some other magical pathogen they fabricate for this very purpose. People caught growing home gardens will be sent to prison alongside the J6 protesters, and sales of garden seeds will be banned from most retail stores, just like what happened in Michigan and other states during COVID (if you forgot, Gov. Whitmer banned seed sales at stores like Home Depot, and the retailers complied).
The upshot of all this, in practical terms, will be the following results:
1) Widespread food scarcity and famine across America.
2) Government food police goons who arrest people for bartering food, growing food or storing food.
3) Authoritarian compliance requirements with government vaccines and online speech rules in order to qualify for government food rations.
4) Food credit rewards for people who tattle on their neighbors or family members, reporting them to the government for wrongthink (opposing vaccine mandates, opposing the trans agenda, opposing illegal immigration, etc.).
Those who don't see this coming will likely not survive it
As Michael Yon recently stated in notable interview with Doug Casey, if you don't prepare for what's coming, you probably won't survive it. The Democrats are intent on achieving the mass extermination and replacement of American people of all colors, and an engineered famine - an American Holodomor - is the most "efficient" way for them to achieve that.
Understand that your government is at war with you and wants you dead. If you didn't learn that from the COVID years, you are unteachable. Everything else is just window dressing to achieve that end goal, including the so-called "climate crisis" which is nothing but an excuse to shut down industry, transportation and farming by claiming that carbon dioxide is the enemy of planet Earth. In truth, CO2 is the miracle molecule that allows food crops, forests and grasslands to produce abundance for humanity -- food, pollinators, plant-based ecosystems, insect biomass and more. These are all just different methods to achieve global extermination of the human race. War, famine and pestilence are all being engineered for this purpose. That's why they celebrate mass abortions, destruction of the biosphere, collapse of industry and global depopulation.
