A newly unearthed trove of declassified, though highly redacted, documents confirms that the FBI has been tied at the hip to Patriot Front for many years. An extensive 950 pages' worth of evidence shows that the FBI has been placing key federal assets deep within Patriot Front to infiltrate and ultimately overthrow the conservative movement.
For quite a while, the FBI has been embedding undercover assets and confidential human sources within Patriot Front's organizational layers. And yet the only confirmed and documented crimes committed by the group are illegally placing posters on public and private property.

The Patriot Front honeypot
For all the bad press it gets, Patriot Front seems to have some kind of special protection for its members, including front man and founder Thomas Ryan Rousseau who avoided criminal convictions thanks to the FBI blocking them.
Rousseau's recruitment efforts targeted otherwise peaceful young men with a patriotic bent, using Patriot Front as a type of honeypot to confuse the well-meaning into joining a government front group.
"Rousseau periodically leads his group on well-organized marches across the country," wrote @amuse in an article posted to X. "Each event features 100-250 fit, disciplined men in matching khaki pants and blue shirts, all masked except Rousseau. They carry shields and flags, marching with military precision. Notably, there are never counter-protesters like Antifa or Black Bloc, who often target less organized groups like the Oath Keepers and Proud Boys."
"Additionally, local law enforcement always protects them. Why did Rousseau's Patriot Front miss the January 6th protests, the so-called Super Bowl of right-wing protests?"
Patriot Front was involved in the infamous 2022 North Idaho gay pride event disruption, which resulted in local law enforcement detaining the 35 recruits brought in by Rousseau to participate, as well as 70 of the active members who were also present.
All of the men were masked except for Rousseau, and all of them were allowed to keep their masks on while being detained. Many of them were also allowed to keep their backpacks.
In the end, local police in North Idaho charged Rousseau and 30 of the recruits with conspiracy to riot, though the 70 members were allowed to leave – why?
"Why were four U-Haul passengers released, and why were the 70 others allowed to go?" @amuse asked, noting that most of the recruits who were charged pleaded guilty to conspiracy or lesser charges.
Prosecutors ran into problems, though, after the FBI refused to cooperate with them, withholding crucial evidence against Rousseau. This resulted in Judge John Cafferty dismissing Rousseau's case entirely.
"Given the evidence, it is clear that Thomas Ryan Rousseau is either an asset for the FBI/HSI (in some capacity) or an unwitting patsy used by the federal government to operate a honeypot aimed at entrapping individuals with extremist racist ideologies," @amuse says.
On X, many are now calling for the FBI to be dismantled. Clearly there is something amiss with the way the agency operates, including how it entraps young conservative men into participating in its psychological operations.
