Disney executive admits company REJECTS White males in favor of diversity hires
06/26/2024 // Ava Grace // 2.2K Views

An executive at The Walt Disney Company has admitted that the entertainment giant regularly engages in discriminatory hiring, with White male candidates eschewed in favor of "diverse" ones.

Independent journalist James O'Keefe released undercover footage of the aforementioned executive making the admission through his O'Keefe Media Group (OMG), established after his departure from Project Veritas. Michael Giordano, Disney senior vice president and business affair team lead, disclosed the company's discriminatory practices to OMG undercover journalists.

"Nobody else is going to tell you this, but [Disney is] not considering any White males for the job," Giordano recounted what the company's human resources (HR) department told him. "There's no way we're hiring a White male." (Related: DEI 'expert on White supremacy laments no one will hire him because he's White.)

According to the executive, Disney uses "code words and buzzwords" to avoid legal action and even gives out bonuses to executives who practice diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI). "Diversity helps with financial incentives," he remarked.

Giordano even mentioned a candidate who was rejected for "not looking Black enough." Even the executive himself, who is White, is a victim of this discrimination as he's been denied promotions due to his race. This, even though Giordano himself is "well-prepared" and "well-positioned" for such promotions.

"I'm not sure, to be honest with you," Giordano told journalists who asked if he thinks he will be promoted. "As far as Disney's concerned, I'm a White male. And that's not who they're looking to promote at the moment."

Giordano also described in the underground video that his race was a main factor why he was passed over for an internal promotion on several occasions because of his race. This, he says, was "told explicitly" to him.

"There are times when it's spoken," he says in reference to the alleged DEI practices. Even his friends in the company's HR department have explicitly mentioned this: "They're not considering any white males for this job. They're just not."

According to Giordano, Chief Diversity Officer Tinisha Agramonte – who was hired in 2023 – "oversees a lot" of the DEI hiring practices. However, he added that Agramonte wasn't the only one enforcing the policies as "there are other people in HR who are also focused on it."

The video of Giordano released by OMG sparked outrage among thousands of commenters, who quickly called for a boycott. Even X owner Elon Musk and U.S. Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) put in their two cents.

"This is messed up," Musk wrote in the accompanying caption when he shared the video. Meanwhile, the senator for the Beehive State warned of impending legal action.

"Disney's lawyers will be busy. Very busy," Lee wrote on X. "Because this Disney [executive] admitted to hiring (and not hiring) on the basis of race. As it turns out, that's against the law – in fact, it has been for the last 60 years."

This incident is not the first time that Disney has come under fire before for its DEI workplace policies.

In February, conservative non-profit America First Legal filed a complaint against the company for "unlawful racial discrimination," claiming that "Disney admits and affirms that it knowingly and intentionally uses race, color, sex, or national origin as motivating factors in its employment practices."

"Disney appears to be engaged in pervasive, far-reaching, and illegal race and sex discrimination in violation of the 1964 Civil Rights Act," the organization's president Stephen Miller said. "It is sad and tragic that a company whose name was once synonymous with wholesome and charming childhood fantasies is now dedicated to spreading divisive bigotry. We urge Disney to cease and desist its unlawful and destructive conduct at once."

Believe it or not, this practice has been going on in America ever since the advent of Affirmative Action in America. After being discharged from the Army in 1975, I couldn't find a decent job in California to save my life. Apart from a government funded job in the county my parents lived in that lasted a year and a half before the funding was stopped by the government of CA. Before and after that job, it was minimum wage jobs only, along with 7 periods of homelessness in an 18 year period. I filled out more applications than the paperwork I filled out regularly as a Military Policeman during my 3 year hitch. Someone else was always hired despite my point preference for being a veteran. White men have been discriminated against more than any other group in this country. My disability claim with SSA was finaly approved some years after I turned fifty years old. The VA still denies my claim at 70years old because I was not a "combat vet". State and Federal discrimination still happens against men in America. I made just less than $90 thousand dollars lifetime income according to SSA. That is 1/2 of a Congress members yearly income. Viva la revolution, oops, wrong century. LoL

I believe there is a strong need for a new 'We The People' children's animation enterprise.
