Bioweapons launderer Fauci and associates illegally deleted emails and federal records to protect themselves from FOIA requests

Dr. Anthony Fauci is in hot water following the release of new evidence showing he and others working with him took steps to destroy evidence and evade a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request. Could his lies finally be catching up to him?

Newly released emails from longtime colleague Dr. David Morens point to a vast conspiracy aimed at covering up the former National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease Director's connection to the risky gain-of-function research believed to be behind the COVID-19 virus. They also implicate EcoHealth Alliance president Dr. Peter Daszak. His organization, which oversaw bat coronavirus research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, was recently suspended from receiving federal funds.

Many of the emails were between Morens and Daszak, and they are part of 150 emails that were released by the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic. They prove that Morens, who was a senior adviser to Fauci, purposefully took steps to conceal email evidence that the trio were involved in a coverup related to their role in the origins of the pandemic.

Several tactics were used to try to avoid exposing their culpability, such as deleting sensitive emails, systematically misspelling certain key terms to avoid FOIA searches, and using a private email account for official business.

In one email, Morens bragged about how well he thought he was doing at covering his tracks, noting: "I learned from our NIH FOIA lady here how to make emails disappear after I am FOIA but before the search starts so I think we’re all safe. Plus I deleted most of those earlier emails after sending them to Gmail.”

He was apparently very worried about being exposed, reiterating in a subsequent email to Daszak: “I ask you both that NOTHING gets sent to me except to my gmail [sic],”

He also said that he could help Fauci avoid getting exposed by FOIA requests, which suggests Fauci knew about the coverup, writing in an April 2021 email: “[T]here is no worry about FOIAs. I can either send stuff to Tony on his private gmail, or hand it to him at work or at his house. He is too smart to let colleagues send him stuff that could cause trouble.”

In addition, he instructed Daszak on how to avoid detection when sharing confidential NIH information that Morens supplied him. He wrote: “Please feel free to share any docs that I’ve sent to you, with Tony. Hopefully you can do that in a way that avoids FOIA, and if not possible, just show him stuff on screen share on Zoom.”

Morens also wrote in a June 2020 email: “We are all smart enough to know to never have smoking guns, and if we did we wouldn’t put them in emails and if we found them we’d delete them.” Emails also discussed the possibility of Morens getting kickbacks from Daszak after advocating for him to the NIH when they were investigating EcoHealth.

Morens claims he was joking about secret back channel and kickbacks

In testimony before the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic, Morens tried to claim his references to the “secret back channel” for communicating about the virus’s origin and “kickbacks” were simply jokes. He said the kickback mention was “typical black humor.”

Despite the presence of emails indicating their Gmail use was an intentional step to evade FOIA requests, Morens continued to proclaim innocence.

“I didn’t do anything that I thought was official business. I understand now that there is some discrepancy between what I thought and what y’all may think about what’s official business”, he told the subcommittee, adding that he “thought all these things [he] was doing that were from [his] private email — private Gmail — were outside the domain of my official job as a private citizen."
