SUPER TRUMP wins 14 of 15 states on Super Tuesday, forcing Haley to withdraw from GOP presidential race

Former President Donald Trump won several states in the GOP primary race on Super Tuesday, March 5.

According to LifeSiteNews, the real estate mogul-turned-president won in 14 of 15 states that held primaries on that day. Meanwhile, former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley – his lone rival for the Republican presidential nomination – won in Vermont by a small percentage.

The Associated Press (AP) pointed out that Haley's victory against Trump in the Green Mountain State denied him a sweep on Super Tuesday. But this ultimately did not matter as Trump "carried other states that might have been favorable to her such as Virginia, Massachusetts and Maine which have large swaths of moderate voters like those who have backed her in previous primaries."

Trump's Mar-a-Lago home in Florida was well-prepared and well-packed for the Super Tuesday celebration. Several staff members and supporters were in attendance, including conservative rapper Forgiato Blow (born Kurt Jantz) and former North Carolina Rep. Madison Cawthorn. The crowd erupted as Fox News announced Trump's victory at the Tar Heel State's GOP primary.

"They call it Super Tuesday for a reason," Trump then addressed a raucous crowd at his estate. The AP remarked: "After beginning the night with victories in Virginia and North Carolina, he wrapped Super Tuesday by winning contests in Alaska and Utah."

On the Democratic side, incumbent President Joe Biden also won in 14 state primaries. However, he placed second in the Democratic primary held in the U.S. territory of American Samoa. Biden garnered 44 percent of the votes, allowing investor Jason Palmer to secure the territory with 56 percent of votes.

"Not enough states will have voted until later this month for Trump or Biden to formally become their parties' presumptive nominees," the AP stated. " Both the 81-year-old Biden and the 77-year-old Trump continue to dominate their parties despite facing questions about age and neither having broad popularity across the general electorate." Haley barely avoids sweep

According to LifeSiteNews, Haley's win in Vermont can be attributed to the fact that it has "a more liberal-leaning GOP" base and its open primary election allows individuals unaffiliated with a political party to vote.

Given Trump's win in 14 out of 15 states on Super Tuesday, Haley announced her withdrawal from the GOP presidential race. According to the AP, she reportedly watched the results in private – eventually culminating in her decision. Three people with direct knowledge of the matter confirmed Haley's withdrawal from the race, albeit on the condition of anonymity.

In a statement, Haley's campaign said the results of the Super Tuesday primaries reflected that there were many Republicans "who are expressing deep concerns about Trump." Olivia Perez-Cubas, a spokeswoman for the former South Carolina governor, remarked: "Unity is not achieved by simply claiming 'We're united.'"

Meanwhile, Biden issued a statement warning that the results of Super Tuesday had left Americans with a clear choice. He also touted his own "accomplishment" after winning against Trump in the 2020 presidential election, which was marred by vote fraud done through mail-in ballots.

"If Trump returns to the White House, all of this progress is at risk," said the incumbent chief executive. "He is driven by grievance and grift, focused on his own revenge and retribution, not the American people."
