The latest woke change comes from none other than the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), which just replaced the term "pregnant women" in its newest vaccine guidance with the LGBT-friendly term "pregnant people."
According to the CDC, men can get pregnant and deliver babies just like women can. The federal agency says the change was necessary to make its operations more "gender neutral."
The CDC is also removing words like "she," "her," and "mother" from the new guides because those, too, apparently offend CDC employees or whomever runs the nation's leading public health entity.

(Related: A few months back, the CDC unveiled a bizarre new ad campaign called "Wild to Mild" that pushes flu shots on children and pregnant women.)
Commenting on the changes was psychotherapist and director of Genspect, Stella O'Malley, who told the media that the move sets a dangerous "precedent."
"There was no need to replace the word 'woman' with the words 'pregnant person,'" she said. "In medical matters, clarity and simplicity should be prioritized so that everyone can understand what is involved."
"Some people, especially those for whom English is not a first language, will not understand what is meant by 'pregnant people' yet they would readily understand 'mothers.' It's an appalling example of how politics is increasingly interfering with medicine."
The Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS) said much the same, accusing the CDC of "cowering to political forces." The group's executive director, Dr. Jane Orient, commented that those pushing such changes are a "small minority" that is "highly influential."
"[They] are trying to change language, Orwellian style, to force acceptance of an absurdity," she said.
"All pregnant persons are women. A trans man is a woman who is trying to alter her body to resemble a man's. She is endangering her baby's health if she is taking testosterone. The CDC ought to be warning about that."
Across the pond in the United Kingdom, the National Health Service (NHS) is basically doing the same thing as the CDC by replacing all gender-specific terminology in its paraphernalia.
The NHS recently rolled out a new £450 million (about $567 million) information technology system that only allows midwives to register the "gender identity" of newborn babies rather than their actual biological sex.
Many midwives in the UK went public following the new system's implementation to warn that what the NHS is doing is nothing short of preposterous.
"The hospital discharge summary is an important document for the baby to receive the best care from the whole NHS team," one such midwife is quoted as saying.
"We are talking about newborn and very young babies here. What on earth has gender identity as a concept got to do with them? It's ludicrous."
This same midwife added that, because of the change, there is now a "climate of fear" among midwives who are also being ordered to use bizarre terminology like "birthing parent" rather than mother, and "chestfeeding" rather than "breastfeeding."
