China BANS the word “COVID-19,” downplays severity of country’s mysterious pneumonia outbreak
12/07/2023 // Laura Harris // Views

Officials in China have reportedly been instructed to avoid attributing the mysterious pneumonia outbreak that is rapidly spreading across the country to the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19).

An anonymous insider disclosed this instruction to the Sun, claiming that Chinese leader Xi Jinping has given the top officials of the country a "secret directive" to downplay the severity of the current outbreak. Under the directive, officials are to refer to the outbreak as either a "mycoplasma pneumonia infection" or "influenza A."

Moreover, the insider also mentioned that both foreign and domestic media outlets have been explicitly instructed not to report on the outbreak and pretend like it is not happening.

The outbreak, which is characterized by "unusual symptoms" in affected individuals, has claimed the lives of numerous children since mid-October. The affected children are reportedly showing symptoms such as fever, with some cases presenting alarming signs reminiscent of "white lung," a condition previously associated with severe COVID-19 infections. Many have also developed pulmonary nodules, a feature not commonly associated with mycoplasma pneumonia, which usually causes "patchy infiltrates."

Several hospitals, including the affiliated hospital of Hebei Universityhave been setting up makeshift clinics to handle the increasing number of patients, primarily children receiving IV drip treatments. Hazmat workers are also disinfecting streets and buildings to contain the spread, even though most cases have been reported in Beijing, Tianjin and Liaoning Province.

With the growing number of cases, China has been forced to reinstate face masks and social distancing. The inconsistency of the patterns with the typical mycoplasma pneumonia patterns has fueled speculation about the potential link to the COVID-19 infection.

COVID-19 has never really disappeared in China

U.S.-based virologist Sean Lin told the Epoch Times in a Nov. 3 interview that mycoplasma pneumonia is typically treatable with specific antibiotics. He added that this type of pneumonia does not usually result in severe lung infections or "white lung."

"COVID-19 has never really disappeared in China," said Lin. "Therefore, from a professional point of view, it should be a variant of [COVID]. A combined attack of more than two viruses or bacteria is also a possible cause."

Incidentally, nine renowned scholars in China – including two academicians – allegedly died in hospitals a week after the new wave of disease escalated in November. All nine passed away between Nov. 16 and Nov. 23, and eight of them were members of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

Since December 2022, legitimate sources in China have reported multiple deaths of experts, senior CCP officials, corporate executives and young and middle-aged police officers. Some of the deceased have been praised as "outstanding members."

Back in August, Falun Gong founder Li Hongzhi said the COVID-19 pandemic is mainly targeting the CCP and those who blindly follow, defend and work for it. Based on these reports, it appears that this new pneumonia outbreak is indeed affecting members of the evil party. "When humans become corrupt in their hearts, they will generate karma, fall sick and suffer calamities," said Li, whose group has been persecuted by the CCP. "A pandemic like the current [outbreak] has come with a purpose and with a target. It has come to eliminate the followers of the evil Party and those who go along with the evil CCP."
