For Biden, "about half this country is a threat to the country. Think about that," Renz said during the Sept. 6 episode of "Lawfare with Tom Renz" on Brighteon.TV. "MAGA – Make America Great Again – is a threat. The people who support America first … [and] America being a leader in the world are somehow a threat to our country."
It is not just a few people, but almost 80 million based on election results. The Ohio lawyer slammed Biden over his remark, noting that the president is supposed to represent 100 percent of the American people.
Renz said he does not know if Biden is weighing the interests of Americans who favor making America great versus those who apparently don't.
The fact that Biden just told half of America's population that they are a threat was "absolutely appalling," he continued. The Sept. 1 speech delivered in Philadelphia only created tension, turmoil and division – something Renz alleged Biden was doing intentionally. "[Former President] Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans represent an extremism that threatens the very foundations of our republic," Biden said during his speech at the Independence National Historical Park in the City of Brotherly Love.
"There is no question that the Republican Party today is dominated, driven and intimidated by Trump and the MAGA Republicans, and that is a threat to this country."
Biden added that MAGA Republicans "do not respect the Constitution, do not believe in the rule of law, do not recognize the will of the people and refuse to accept the results of a free election."
According to Renz, Biden's speech was also an attempt to pick a fight with MAGA adherents – outside of being a denouncement of half the population. The Brighteon.TV host also pointed out that Americans have been smart enough not to take the bait.
Given this, he stressed that Americans should not resort to violence and instead turn to peace. Renz continued that peaceful resistance is the only resistance against an American president who is trying to pick fights and fan the flames of violence.
"We cannot allow violence. We have to stop it. We cannot let this president stoke violence and that's exactly what I think he's trying to do. We have to be smarter than that," Renz explained.
Moreover, the Ohio attorney pointed out that peaceful resistance works – and it is the only thing that is going to work.
Ultimately, the "Lawfare" host called on the people to be resolute and relentless in their pursuit of liberty. This, he said, can be achieved by peacefully resisting and refusing to resort to violence.
