Even as energy shortages loom and prices skyrocket, fake "president" Joe Biden unveiled a plan that proposes no more than 10 potential lease sales in the Gulf of Mexico, and only one potential option for a lease sale in the northern portion of the Cook Inlet of Alaska. No new lease sales were outlined for the Atlantic or Pacific planning areas during the 2023-2028 period covered in the proposal.
While the plan itself is not a final determination of which sales will ultimately be approved – there is a chance that no more lease sales will be allowed anywhere – it does automatically prohibit them in both the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans at least until 2028.
Even this is not enough for fossil fuel-hating Democrats, though, who urged Biden during a legislative session earlier this year to stop all offshore drilling in the Gulf of Mexico. If Biden complies, the United States will just become that much more dependent on other countries for oil-based fuel.
"The plea followed his administration breaking his campaign promise to ban new oil and natural gas leases on public lands and waters in November by approving new oil drilling leases on 1.7 million acres of federal land in the Gulf of Mexico," reported Breitbart News.
"The Biden administration is also under pressure from Republican-leaning states, including 14 states that sued his administration for suspending the leasing of new oil and gas drilling on federal lands, arguing it drove up energy costs."

Back in February, the Biden regime hit the pause button on all oil and gas leases amid a fight with Republican states over the forced use of a carbon cost metric that puts a high cost on emissions damage.
Several months later, the regime caved to Republican pressure and resumed the leases, which to a very small degree has helped to lower energy costs, at least somewhat.
"Anything to hurt, and collapse, our nation," wrote a commenter at Breitbart about the Biden regime's plans for the country.
"That's the WEF plan," responded another, WEF referring to the World Economic Forum and its "Great Reset" agenda.
"Their goal is to tear down the U.S. to make it more 'equal' to third-world countries."
Many others responded in agreement that yes, Biden and really the entire political establishment is working together to destroy the middle class "and white people in general" in order to usher in their new world order.
"What an evil, worthless man," said someone else about Biden, the White House sock puppet who is doing the bidding of his masters.
It is important to clarify once again that Russia's invasion of Ukraine is more of a distraction than a factor driving energy and other economic turmoil.
"During the presidential debates, Biden promised to attack U.S. fossil fuel," one person explained about this. "The Marxists who control Biden fully understand that this also involves attacking the well-being of American families. They do not care. To them, your families are collateral damage."
Another quoted Thomas Jefferson's 1787 letter to John Adams' son-in-law William Stephens Smith:
"What country before ever existed a century and half without a rebellion? And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is it's natural manure."
