(Natural News) While most of the country’s attention is focused on rising gasoline, energy, food and housing costs as well as Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the situation along the U.S.-Mexico border remains dire and out of control.
After the deep state stole Donald Trump’s reelection and installed the hapless Joe Biden, he then dismantled nearly all of Trump’s border security and enforcement policies, which immediately led to an invasion of illegal migrants and a flood of dangerous drugs like fentanyl.
And the invasion has not slowed much since: Every month, Border Patrol and customs agents encounter 150,000 or more people trying to sneak into our country — and those are just the ones who are seen. Meanwhile, tons of drugs are pouring into our nation every month as well, killing our citizens with overdoses, and the current regime is literally doing everything it can to facilitate both illegal immigration and the drug smuggling with open borders policies.
Now, 14 state attorneys general, all Republicans, are demanding that the man heading up this disaster, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, resign because he is a disgrace to the position and a traitor to our country.
“We, the Attorneys General of 14 States, write to demand your immediate resignation,” the group, led by Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody, noted in a letter to Mayorkas this week.
“Secretary Mayorkas has failed to deliver on the core function of the agency he runs: ‘to secure the nation from the many threats we face,’” Moody said.
“Through his refusal to enforce federal laws, including deporting criminals and maintaining order at the border, he has put America and our respective states on the verge of a national security crisis,” the letter continued.
“The only individuals who are more secure because of our DHS secretary are the drug cartels and human smugglers,” the letter continued. “Secretary Mayorkas should admit his failure to achieve the basic mission of this agency and resign immediately.”
In addition to Moody, the attorneys general for Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Georgia, Indiana, Louisiana, Missouri, Montana, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Texas, Utah and West Virginia joined as well.
When Mayorkas took his oath of office, he swore to “support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies foreign and domestic,” the letter noted.
“You have violated that oath every day since you took office. Americans have died because of your failure to obey the law and do your solemn duty. More Americans will unnecessarily die and suffer for as long as you remain Secretary,” they wrote.
The AGs then referred to remarks that Mayorkas made to the U.S. Conference of Mayors in January:
Unlawful presence in the United States will alone not be a basis for an immigration enforcement action but rather, we will allocate our efforts, we will allocate our resources on those individuals who present a current public safety threat, a threat to national security, or a threat to our border security, and that is a very important principle.
And it is not just a matter of the appropriate allocation of limited resources but it is a matter of justice and fairness and equity as well.
In short, Mayorkas made it nearly impossible for border officials and agents to enforce existing immigration laws.
“As you publicly boast about your abject refusal to enforce the laws enacted by Congress to keep us safe, our southwest border is a disaster, and our nation is on the verge of a national security crisis. Some of our States lie on the southwest border and live your catastrophic actions daily,” the attorneys general wrote.
“Others have traveled to the southwest border and witnessed first-hand your utter malfeasance as Secretary. The effects of your dismal leadership at DHS are felt in each of our States,” the letter noted.
Biden is overseeing the destruction of our country. States should respond by refusing to recognize him as legitimate and protect their own citizens.
