The most recent developments are playing out in Harris County, Texas -- home to Houston -- following the indictment of Dr. Steve Hotze, a GOP megadonor and election integrity activist who has been working to uncover massive amounts of voter fraud in the Lone Star State, which Dems are working frantically to turn blue.
According to a report from the Texas Tribune, a left-wing outlet that published an extremely biased account:
Conservative activist Steven Hotze on Wednesday was indicted on two felony charges related to his alleged involvement in an air conditioning repairman being held at gunpoint in 2020 during a bizarre search for fraudulent mail ballots that did not exist, according to his attorney, Gary Polland.
Hotze, 71, was indicted by a Harris County grand jury and faces one count of unlawful restraint and one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Court filings in the case were not available Wednesday evening. Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg declined to comment.
The charges stem from Hotze’s hiring of more than a dozen private investigators to look for voter fraud in Harris County ahead of the 2020 presidential election.
The report said that a former Houston Police Department captain, Mark Aguirre, was arrested in December 2020 and charged with aggravated assault as prosecutors accused him of using his vehicle to run an air conditioning repairman off the road shortly before dawn in October of that year.
The former captain proceeded to detain the repairman at gunpoint while he instructed an associate to search the repairman's truck, court filings stated. When a current Houston PD officer just happened to come upon the scene and stopped to see what was going on, Aguirre told the officer the truck contained some 750,000 fraudulent ballots prepared by the Democratic Party machine.
But the report said that the truck only contained parts for air conditioners and other equipment. The Texas Tribune also reported that Hotze's investigators have not found any credible evidence (and the left decides what "credible" is, by the way) to support his accurate contention that Democrats stole the 2020 election via a wide-ranging ballot fraud scheme that was also carried out in Harris County, as well as other blue enclaves around the country.
Hotze's attorney, Polland, called the charges against his client "outrageous" and said they smacked of political retribution. Also, he said that Hotze did not know anything at all about the roadside incident involving Aguirre until he read about his arrest. He also said the former police captain asked him for money to investigate alleged election fraud and Hotze agreed -- but that was the extent of his involvement in the affairs of the ex-cop.
“All I know is Hotze didn’t aid or abet this in any way,” Polland told the outlet. “The donation of funds was for a righteous activity of rooting out ballot fraud.”
Others have come to Hotze's defense as well.
Vidal Martinez, a candidate for Harris County judge, noted in a campaign video posted to Brighteon "the politically motivated" charges against Hotze, "a true Christian conservative patriot."
"It's not at all a coincidence that just a few short weeks ago, Dr. Hotze, along with another patriot, MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell, hosted one of the largest voter integrity rallies in America," Martinez continued.
"I was privileged to speak at the rally and saw the commitment of so many to ensure free and fair elections in Harris County," the judge candidate added. "This is no longer about politics. This is about an attack on conservative law-abiding citizens everywhere -- citizens like you who dare stand up for the Constitution and fair elections."
He noted that while many residents are aware of his candidacy for county judge, Martinez said "this issue goes far beyond that."
"Whether you support me or not, I'm asking all patriots to stand up for people like Dr. Hotze and everyone else who dares to tell the truth and stand up for election integrity," Martinez noted further.
WATCH:
There is no question that the 2020 election was stolen and Joe Biden was installed by the leftist deep state to deny Donald Trump another four years to implement his 'America First' agenda. The proof is coming out by the month. Hotze's arrest is just another attempt to suppress the truth.
