"We thought the spike protein was a great target antigen, we never knew the spike protein itself was a toxin and was a pathogenic protein. So by vaccinating people, we are inadvertently inoculating them with a toxin," Byram Bridle, a viral immunologist, vaccine researcher and associate professor at the University of Guelph, Ontario, said in an interview with Alex Pierson.
The coronavirus spike protein, which is present in the mRNA vaccines, can be toxic as it enters the bloodstream. This could explain the sheer number of adverse effects one can get from COVID-19 vaccines.
Bridle, who was awarded a government grant for his research on the COVID vaccine development, said a group of international scientists filed a request for information from the Japanese regulatory agency to get access to the "biodistribution study."
While the safe assumption is that the mRNA vaccine stays in the shoulder muscle, this is not the case.
Japanese data showed that the coronavirus spike protein actually enters the bloodstream, where it circulates for several days post-vaccination, then gets accumulated in organs and tissues and, in particularly "high concentrations," in the ovaries. "We have known for a long time that the spike protein is a pathogenic protein. It is a toxin. It can cause damage in our body if it gets into circulation," he said.
The spike protein is what allows the virus to infect humans. Vaccine manufacturers chose to target the protein, making cells in the vaccinated person manufacture it, which would, in theory, evoke an immune response and prevent it from infecting cells.
Studies have shown that the most severe effects of the virus, such as blood clotting and bleeding, are due to the effects of the spike protein of the virus itself. Bridle said the spike protein, on its own, is almost entirely responsible for the damage of the cardiovascular system if it gets into circulation.
Lab animals that have been injected with purified spike protein into the bloodstream were shown to develop cardiovascular problems and cause brain damage. (Related: Biden pushes THIRD spike protein "booster" injection on Americans.)
More problems caused by vaccines
Bridle warned that the coronavirus spike protein does not merely cause an immune system response, but also health problems. He claims that the spike protein can attack receptors on blood platelets and cells that line the blood vessels, which cause it to clump and clot.
Senior research scientist Stephanie Seneff from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology also claimed that the leaked Pfizer study from Japan makes it "clear" that the COVID vaccines have a direct effect on the bloodstream, causing systemic damage such as cardiovascular and cognitive problems.
Relying on the spike proteins for COVID vaccines cannot be done for long either, because the virus continuously evolves. Antibodies dodging variants of the virus can carry slightly altered versions of the spike, as well.
None of the current vaccines have been able to completely nullify a coronavirus variant, and manufacturers such as Pfizer and Moderna are now looking into additional shots with more variant-conscious versions of the spike protein. However, strategies like these could quickly lock people into a vaccination cycle as microbes continue to mutate much faster than humans can invent vaccines.
Pediatric rheumatologist J. Patrick Whelan warned the vaccine advisory committee of the Food and Drug Administration of the potential for spike protein in COVID vaccines to cause microvascular damage in "ways that were not assessed in the safety trials."
Whelan did not dispute the value of the coronavirus vaccines that worked to stop transmission of the disease. However, he noted that "it would be vastly worse if hundreds of millions of people were to suffer long-lasting or even permanent damage to their brain or heart microvasculature as a result of failing to appreciate in the short-term an unintended effect of full-length spike protein-based vaccines on other organs."
