According to a report by John Binder of Breitbart News, about 200,000 illegal aliens in New York are expected to receive $2.1 billion in stimulus checks and unemployment benefits. And yes, this money is coming from New York taxpayers.

Binder highlighted that “more than a million jobs have been lost in New York and an estimated 80,000 New York businesses may not make it to the end of the Chinese coronavirus pandemic,” but Cuomo and his Democrat colleagues believe that illegal aliens should still receive taxpayer funds. To add insult to injury, the $2.1 billion in stimulus checks and “unemployment- style” benefits for roughly 187,000 illegal aliens is about $1.1 billion more than what small businesses are expected to receive in grants and tax credits according to a New York Times report.

The budget, crafted with numerous forms of economic relief for individuals and businesses negatively impacted by the New York state government’s lockdown, also doled out $2.3 billion in federal funds to tenants who have been delinquent on rent payments during this lockdown period. This represented $200,000,000 more in financial aid than what illegal aliens are expected to obtain.

Binder highlighted some of the concrete numbers that illegal aliens in New York will likely get:

Previous estimates suggested illegal aliens could receive up to $28,600 a year thanks to the taxpayer-funded benefits approved by Cuomo. Weekly, illegal aliens could receive $500. For those unemployed since March 2020, illegal aliens could receive, on average, $12,600.

New York Republican Party Chairman Nick Langworthy described the New York state government as “even more radical than the Biden-Harris administration” and even argued that the budget deal “has replaced any last semblance of common sense with woke insanity.”

“Democrats are about to pass a budget that raises taxes on New Yorkers and businesses by $4 billion while enacting a $2 billion fund that will provide $25,000 payouts to illegal immigrants,” Langworthy declared in the statement. From its gun laws to its policing of speech, New York is solidifying its reputation as a leftist cesspool. It should come to no shock why many New Yorkers are fleeing the state and settling down in freer, more rational states like Florida.
