During an information White House Correspondents Association Zoom call last Friday, multiple sources told the media that they are fighting back against the White House push to access questions in advance of the daily briefings.
"The press can't really do its job in the briefing room if the White House is picking and choosing the questions they want," one White House correspondent said. "That's not really a free press at all."
Enough reporters were apparently ticked off by the change that they came forward about it anonymously, at much risk to themselves since there were certain terms attached to participating in the call, presumably a non-disclosure type of agreement.
Despite efforts to rebrand itself in contrast to how President Donald Trump's press team held its daily briefings when those were still happening, Beijing Biden's press team initially offered an "olive branch" to the media to grease the wheels for trying to get its members to share their questions in advance.
"Psaki has pleased many members of the press pool by ensuring that the reporters in attendance aren't doing so in vain. In each of the early press conferences, she's fielded questions from every reporter in the room," writes Maxwell Tani for The Daily Beast.
"During her first presser, Psaki promised to restore regular briefings, including those with top administration health officials, adding that she had a 'deep respect for the role of a free and independent press,' and that they shared 'a common goal, which is sharing accurate information with the American people.'"

Several Daily Beast staffers participated in the Zoom call, but Tani reassures us that none of them had any input in his story on the matter. All of the information he shares was "independently gathered," he says, "without his colleagues' knowledge," and he personally was not bound by the terms of the call's agreement.
With that said, Tani dredged up some real gems about how the Biden regime is planning to conduct business. Suffice it to say that Biden voters are going to have even more buyer's remorse in the coming days, that is if they can quell enough pride to admit that they were fooled by a treasonous dementia puppet.
Eric Schultz, a former deputy press secretary in the Barack Hussein Obama White House, is attempting to cover for Biden by claiming that asking about questions in advance was "standard procedure in most pre-Trump White Houses." He also claims that asking only softball questions is effectively "restoring normalcy" to the briefing process.
"No small feat for the priests on the Potomac to convince the people that the wood and stone god they see is, in fact, the real creator of heaven and earth," joked one Citizen Free Press commenter.
"And to that end, the MSM role-playing the people questioning their god forms an important part of the curtain separating the wizard from his flock."
