You may recall that Warren has earned the nickname “Fauxcohontas” from President Donald Trump and millions of Americans over her longstanding false claims of being a Native American.
In addition to claiming Native American heritage, Warren, earlier in her academic and legal career, listed herself as an “American Indian” as her race in a handwritten Texas State Bar association registration form in 1986, The National Sentinel reported.
“The claim made more than 30 years ago is the latest indication that Warren attempted to identify as a minority from her earliest days as a law school professor, which has led some critics to claim she did so in order to advance her career,” the news site noted.
Then, in February — just a few days before announcing her 2020 presidential bid — Warren ‘officially’ apologized to Native Americans and, in particular, the Cherokee Nation, for lying about being an Indian for decades.
Now, as her campaign continues to limp along, Warren is blatantly pandering to Native Americans with a new “plan” she is rolling out to “help” them.
The New York Times reports:
Senator Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts on Friday laid out a collection of policy proposals intended to help Native Americans, pledging to protect tribal lands and to bolster funding for programs that serve Native people.
Among the proposals, Ms. Warren said that if elected president, she would revoke the permits for the Keystone XL and Dakota Access pipelines, two projects that have been opposed by many Native Americans. No energy project significantly affecting tribal lands should go ahead, she said, “without the free, prior and informed consent of the tribal nation concerned.”
Native American lands really aren’t in any “danger” of being taken away, one, and two, the other part of her plan is to deepen Native Americans’ dependence on federal government handouts?
But wait, as they say, there’s more. Warren also pledges to expand tribes’ ability to prosecute non-Native Americans for crimes committed on their lands while also creating a nationwide alert system specifically for indigenous women. (Related: Elizabeth Warren’s ancestor was actually a militia member who rounded up Cherokee Indians.)
“As a nation, we are failing in our legal, political and moral obligations toward tribal governments and indigenous peoples,” Warren wrote in a meandering Medium post. “That this failure is simply the latest chapter in generations of prior failures is no excuse.”
Wow. What a “plan.” Not only would Warren deepen tribal dependence on the federal government, but she seeks to buy Native American votes with virtue signaling language. In other words, typical Democrat BS.
But this isn’t the first time Liz has attempted to pander to voters. Remember when she kicked off her campaign in her kitchen by first ‘getting a beer’ during a live Instagram broadcast? Even CBS News admitted that the stunt only generated “mixed reaction.” She even “thanked” her husband “for being here” after he walked in while she was getting started.
Where else would he have been?
What a regular “Jane” she is.
“As part of salvaging her presidential campaign, Warren intensified her outreach to Native American leaders and groups. This was not for the benefit of Native Americans, but for the benefit of Elizabeth Warren,” noted Legal Insurrection.
Not all Native Americans are falling for her schtick. One, Twila Barnes, the Cherokee genealogist who greatly contributed to exposing Warren’s fraudulent claims, tweeted, “When she no longer needs us, she will forget we exist. She had 6 years to work on these things while she was a Senator. They only became important when she decided to run for POTUS and only then because she has the fake claim/DNA problem.”
