Several celebs were ticked off following Wednesday’s disastrous hearings on Capitol Hill by former special counsel Robert Mueller who, at times, appeared far older than his 74 years, let’s just put it that way.
Not trying to disparage the man, mind you. He just did not seem to be in complete control over all his faculties, as evidenced by his inability to follow conversations at times, his multiple requests to have questions repeated, and his seeming surprise to learn about elements of his own report to the Justice Department earlier this year regarding his office’s lack of findings regarding Trump-Russia ‘‘collusion” and obstruction of justice.
But none of that matters to the perpetually ticked off Hollywood types whose anger and vitriol for our current commander-in-chief is only matched by the inability of many of them to be relevant anymore beyond reruns and the occasional appearance on a late-night program.
Following Mueller’s disastrous appearances – two separate hearings for testimony before two Democrat-controlled House committees – in which the former special counsel destroyed any remaining hope that President Trump was going to be impeached or even deserved to, the screech masters in La La Land took to Twitter to demand – demand I say – impeachment anyway.
Even though the vast majority of Americans don’t want it.
Many of the celebs and wash-ups making the demand were some of the usual suspects, of course, because they live their lives perpetually worked up and angry over the fact that POTUS Trump continues to take breaths every few seconds.
Rob Reiner chose profanity. He wrote on Twitter: “It is imperative: Congress must start an Impeachment Inquiry. This President colluded with a foreign enemy power to undermine our Democracy. Then Obstructed Justice to cover that up. Period. Speaker Pelosi, with all due respect, NO MORE F**KING AROUND!”

Actor John Cusack weighed in as well.

So did the “always ticked off at POTUS” Debra Messing. “37 indictments, 7 convictions, 127 secret meetings with Russian agents and so many hours of testimony… it’s time for an #ImpeachmentInquiryNow!" she wrote, failing to note that none – not a single indictment or allegation – pertains to the president acting in concert with Russia or illegally attempting to shield his administration.

Then, of course, there’s Rosie O’Donnell.

Jon Cryer was…crying.

Not true, Jon. Never has been true. Repeating the false charge won’t make it true.
Some Hollywood types were a bit more, shall we say, realistic and rational in their assessment of what happened on Wednesday. One of them, surprisingly, was director Michael Moore.
He slammed Democrats for allowing Mueller, who obviously wasn’t up for the task, to testify in the first place.
“A frail old man, unable to remember things, stumbling, refusing to answer basic questions. I said it in 2017 and Mueller confirmed it today – All you pundits and moderates and lame Dems who told the public to put their faith in the esteemed Robert Mueller – just STFU from now on,” he tweeted.

Well.
The fact is, if there is a president who should be in legal hot water for not only violating our laws but politicizing our legal system and tearing asunder our social fabric, it’s Barack Obama. And if we’re counting twice-failed presidential contenders we can add Hillary Clinton to the list.
But Donald Trump? How can the guy who’s been victimized by the Deep State be guilty of crimes?
