That’s because they all seem more enamored with illegal aliens than with you.
Case in point: During the Thursday night debate featuring the second batch of 2020 contenders, all 10 Democratic hopefuls on stage said they supported giving full, free healthcare benefits to people who violate our laws by crossing illegally into our country.
Think about that. While most Democrat voters are paying something for their healthcare — either through a private employer plan or out-of-pocket — they are indeed paying. But all 2020 Democrats want to give free care to people who have no legal right to be in our country.
How’s that for a poverty magnet? Not only will that encourage more third-world poor to violate our national sovereignty, but the costs for providing all of that free care will rise to astronomical numbers. And all Americans — Democrats, Republicans, Libertarians, political agnostics — will have to pay.
But not illegal aliens.
It gets worse.
Some Democrats also don’t seem to have any problems at all with endangering the lives of poor, migrant children — a shocking position considering that a father and his 23-month-old migrant daughter just drowned this week trying to enter our country illegally, which POTUS Donald Trump rightfully blamed on the Donkey Party.
During her debate appearance on Thursday, Sen. Kamala Harris of California stumped for more illegal immigration and less border enforcement, all while signaling her support for the continued human trafficking of migrant children.
Harris can try to frame her argument in humanitarian terms all she wants, but the fact is she is advocating for human trafficking, period. Because the Mexican cartels don’t smuggle people to the U.S. for free.
And now that Mexico is actually stepping up border enforcement and internal enforcement of its own immigration laws, thanks to the Joint Declaration signed with the Trump administration in early June, the price of being smuggled to the U.S. is only going to go up, while the journey is going to become more fraught with danger.
Let’s review what else Harris is supporting — not tacitly, but directly — when stumping for more human trafficking:
— Sexual assault and rape of women: One in three female migrants must “pay” for their smuggling with their bodies, a story that even The New York Times — no fan of the Trump administration — believed was important enough to tell:
The stories are many, and yet all too similar. Undocumented women making their way into American border towns have been beaten for disobeying smugglers, impregnated by strangers, coerced into prostitution, shackled to beds and trees and — in at least a handful of cases — bound with duct tape, rope or handcuffs.
“I think that since they put me in that room, they killed me,” one 36-year-old migrant mother of three told the Times. “They raped us so many times they didn’t see us as human beings anymore.”
Kamala Harris is okay with this, apparently. She said so. By implicitly supporting the paying of these animals by migrant women to traffic them illegally into the United States — and by criticizing the Trump administration’s efforts to stop it — she supports the rape and assault culture that is not just common but a requirement.
“One in three women are sexually assaulted on the dangerous trek up through Mexico,” POTUS Trump said in January, citing data from research conducted by Doctors Without Borders and other groups. (Related: Here’s why POTUS Trump’s Mexico migrant deal will work: Most Mexican citizens oppose illegal immigration.)
He’s tried working with Democrats like Kamala Harris to get laws changed and implement other fixes that make risking life, limb, and safety not worth the price paid to the smugglers. They have repeatedly refused, so he had to threaten Mexico with tariffs to get some action — and early results show the plan is working to reduce illegal immigration.
That will disappoint Harris because if POTUS solves the illegal immigration problem she won’t get to exploit migrant rape for political purposes anymore.
