If an 11-year-old was advocating for LGBTQ+ rights in an age-appropriate manner, the praise of the left-wing media would be appropriate. But this a child, dancing at a bar for grown-ups who are giving him dollar bills as they would a stripper. If this child were a female, would the liberal left still be calling this obvious exploitation an act of bravery? If nothing else, the left-wing media's coverage of this disturbing story is just more proof that "the agenda" is more important than "the people." Who cares if an innocent child is damaged, as long as the Left gets their way.
Liberal media sacrifices 11-year-old to LGBTQ+ agenda
In December, 11-year-old Desmond Napoles, known as "Desmond Is Amazing," performed a "dance number" at a gay bar in Brooklyn, NY -- while collecting dollar bills from all the adult men in the crowd.
It should go without saying that this is blatant sexual exploitation of a child, Matt Walsh, of Daily Wire, contends, saying that if Desmond were female, his parents would be arrested.
"I should not need to explain why this is all quite sick and evil. A child is being sexually abused, right in front of our eyes, and many people in our culture are applauding while it happens," Walsh states.
As Walsh posits, drag shows are not that different from burlesque -- and the notion of an 11-year-old girl doing a burlesque for a crowd of cheering adult men would drum up a much different response.
"If a young girl were ever traipsed on stage in such a context, the establishment would be raided by the police, every adult in the building would be arrested, and the parents would go to prison and lose custody," he writes.
But for the LGBTQ+ agenda, it seems no bridge is too far.
The agenda is all that matters
The culture of political correctness has expanded to such a a degree that even daring to say Desmond is being exploited can be misconstrued as "hateful." It is not hateful to demand equal protection for all children.
To use the Left's own argument, they are condoning the sexual abuse and exploitation of Desmond Napoles not because they support his "free will," but because of his "assigned" gender and his "orientation." This poor child is being used by the media to advance their agenda.
As Daily Wire reports, CNBC, which is owned by NBC Universal News Group, featured a piece on the child, naming him as an "LGBTQ youth" advocate.
"This 11-year-old drag kid is using his voice to encourage LGBTQ youth to be themselves," the company wrote in a video caption.

Writer Amanda Prestigiacomo notes that Desmond has been featured in the media on multiple occasions, including music videos, articles and other specials. RuPaul, famed drag queen and host of VH1's RuPaul's Drag Race, has vehemently praised and promoted Desmond, as well.
