As we reported back in 2016, it's a growing trend for women to opt for so-called "preventative" double mastectomies in an attempt to avoid succumbing to breast cancer later on in life. The morbid practice was largely popularized by actress Angelina Jolie, who stated at the time that she decided to chop off her own knockers because of a "faulty" gene known as BRCA, the presence of which can supposedly trigger breast cancer, according to the conventional cancer industry.
Many women have reportedly followed in Jolie's footsteps, believing that the mere presence of this gene in their bodies will cause them to develop breast cancer – regardless of their lifestyle choices. As a result, thousands of women who don't even have breast cancer are having their breasts removed, often by male oncologists who make millions by doing so, and almost nobody thinks twice about it.
But stop and think, for a moment, about the utter hypocrisy of this barbaric precedent that's now been set for otherwise healthy women, especially in the #MeToo era. One would think that drastic surgical alterations such as a double mastectomy would be reserved for only the most extreme of situations in which a woman's life is actually at risk – and not for cases of unsubstantiated fear about possibly developing a disease that you don't actually have.
Truth be told, the conventional cancer industry, which is largely dominated by men, is engaging in "toxic masculinity" every time it scares a woman into removing perhaps the most feminine physical aspect of her body, for no reason at all other than to supposedly "prevent" a future disease that may never actually materialize.
Contrary to what the body butchers might claim, the BRCA gene isn't defective, nor does it mean that a woman who possesses it will definitively develop breast cancer if she doesn't have her breasts removed. It's a mythical idea that has no bearing in science, and one that actually victimizes women by separating them from a key element of their female personhood.
Worse is the fact that, in the event that a woman actually does develop some form of breast cancer while her breasts are still intact, the risk of that cancer developing inside of her healthy breasts is next to nil – or somewhere around three percent, according to experts. This means that preventative double mastectomies are medically useless, in addition to being both harmful and traumatic – not to mention the fact that the BRCA gene is actually an anti-cancer gene.
"First of all, BRCA1 and BRCA2 (which stand for Breast Cancer 1 and 2) are tumor suppressor genes," writes Dr. Veronique Desaulniers for The Truth About Cancer. "They produce a protein which assists in DNA damage repair caused by, according to the U.S. National Institute of Health, 'natural and medical radiation or other environmental exposures,'" she adds.
And while it's true that the BRCA gene can go rogue and mutate, this simply means that it's no longer able to effectively do the job of preventing cancer – meaning a "faulty" BRCA doesn't actually cause cancer like the cancer industry claims. But were the cancer industry to tell the truth, it would lose billions in profits – hence the continued lies.
"Shortly after Ms. Jolie made her announcement, stock in the medical technology company Myriad Genetics climbed significantly," Dr. Desaulniers explains. "This company owns patents on BRCA 1 and 2 genes for both men and woman, and has repeatedly blocked necessary and unbiased testing to determine the validity of BRCA-breast cancer connection claims."
