Emile Ratelband says his doctor recently told him that he has the body of someone who's 49 rather than 69, which Ratelband took as a cue to try to establish his age as such with Dutch authorities. However, when they refused to do so, Ratelband decided to adopt the LGBT approach by claiming "discrimination" and "ageism."
According to PJ Media, Ratelband doesn't see why members of the LGBT mafia should be allowed to legally declare themselves as the opposite gender on a whim, while he can't declare himself a different age in order to attract more potential ladies on the dating app, Tinder.
"You can change your name. You can change your gender. Why not your age?" Ratelband told reporters. "Nowhere are you so discriminated against as with your age."
Ratelband actually has a point here, seeing as how older people like himself often have difficulty not only finding new people to date, but also face discriminatory treatment when trying to find a new job. The elderly are discriminated against on many fronts, he says, which seems to be his rationale for trying to push the issue as a matter of ageism.
"When I am 69, I am limited," he says. "If I'm 49, then I can buy a new house, drive a different car. I can take up more work. When I'm on Tinder and it says I'm 69, I don't get an answer. When I'm 49, with the face I have, I will be in a luxurious position."

While Ratelband's wishes would seem to cross the line into the illogical, his attempt to change his age is really no different than a person trying to change his gender. It's impossible to change one's gender, of course, but this hasn't stopped people from deciding to identify as some other gender – and to obtain government approval and recognition in the process.
If transgenders are afforded the "right" in our society to pretend that they're some other gender than what their natural biology dictates, then why can't people like Ratelband similarly exercise their "right" to decide to become a different age?
In a world of moral relativism, there's no such thing as absolute truth, after all. Your "truth" is different from my "truth," which is different from the "truth" of the next guy, we're all told. So who's to question Ratelband's "truth" that he's actually 49 – an age that he might just decide to keep until he dies?
If this all sounds crazy to you, then you're just an agephobe. This, of course, is what the transgender lobby would contend: If you don't agree with transgenderism and everything it claims and represents, than you're a transphobe. In fact, if you deny any made-up thing that liberals wish to be true, you have a "phobia," or "fear," of that thing, apparently.
"I wish Ratelband well, if only because it will be funny to watch him potentially upset the transgender movement's apple cart," jokes John Ellis for PJ Media about the implications of what Ratelband is doing.
"On one hand, he's right: If the government allows people to change their gender, he should be allowed to change his age. On the other hand, his ridiculous lawsuit may help expose the dangerous absurdity of the transgender movement."
