After all, every good commie knows you have to work within an existing competing political system in order to subvert it and, eventually, take it over.
But in recent days the “non-partisan” ACLU once again showed what it really is in an ad campaign aimed at disrupting the confirmation of one of the few constitutional originalists nominated to the federal bench in three decades: Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.
Anyone who is fair and takes serious stock of Kavanaugh’s rulings as a federal judge on the D.C. District knows this man is not simply brilliant, but exactly the kind of jurist our founders had in mind when they wrote the Constitution and founded our country. And he’s exactly the kind of jurist Ronald Reagan had in mind when he commented during his presidency that our liberties and freedoms are never more than one generation away from becoming extinct.
And yet the ACLU, which pretends to care about the Constitution but in reality, defends only those provisions and amendments that allow it to beat back constitutionalism, doesn’t want Kavanaugh on the nation’s highest court.
This organization of lawyers (supposedly) has spent $1 million on TV ads opposing Kavanaugh and irresponsibly casting him in the same light as Harvey Weinstein and convicted sex offender Bill Cosby – despite the fact that it is patently obvious the sexual assault allegations leveled against him are manufactured drivel orchestrated by the Democratic Party.
How do we know? Because all “witnesses” to said acts of sexual deviancy have denied knowing anything about them (or, in some cases, they’ve even denied knowing Kavanaugh). One has changed her story. Another accuser/witness has recanted his accusations and now faces possible legal action.
And yet, the ACLU is jumping on the Left-wing bandwagon to besmirch and smear Kavanaugh. (Related: ACLU, SPLC must be prosecuted for “sabotaging a constitutional republic,” warns author.)
As The Daily Wire reports:
The ad shows clips of Clinton denying sexual relations with then-intern Monica Lewinsky and convicted assaulter Cosby denying sexual assault before immediately cutting to a clip of Kavanaugh denying decades-old, flimsy, changing, and uncorroborated sexual misconduct allegations leveled against him. The clear implication, of course, is that Kavanaugh is a lying sexual assaulter — due process norms be damned.
The increasingly partisan group announced the anti-Kavanaugh campaign on Monday, par for the course with their typical anti-Trump activism.
What’s more, the group has essentially admitted that it’s a biased organ of the far-Left Democratic Party.
"ACLU’s political growth and advocacy has increased since Donald Trump was elected president. We’ve had a massive growth in volunteer base and massive growth in financial resources," said the ACLU’s national political director Faiz Shakir, according to The Washington Post. "People have funded us, and I think they expect a return."
“We’ve decided to move to opposition,” he continued. “It was incumbent upon us to show how we can flex our muscles in trying to persuade our people in the Kavanaugh vote.”
‘Our people?’ There’s no way that he’s talking about Republicans, so that really narrows it down.
Also, since when does mere “opposition” equate to the defense of civil liberties and civil rights? Is the ACLU only now interested in the civil liberties and civil rights of select people, citizens and non-citizens alike? Or don’t all Americans deserve ‘equal protection under the law?’
The answer is plain, of course: No. Not if you’re POTUS Donald Trump or one of his legions of supporters.

Nice “non-partisan” point of view, huh? Convict a guy without a shred of corroborating evidence.
Well, at least now the ACLU is ‘out of the political closet’ and can no longer pretend to be something it isn’t.
