FRAUD at the FBI: Agency leaked fake news stories to the left-wing media, then cited those same published stories as “evidence” to get a FISA spying warrant

The Deep State corruption surrounding the illicit spying into POTUS Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign continues to be exposed, with a North Carolina Republican now providing new details on the scandal.

House Freedom Caucus Chairman Mark Meadows tweeted overnight Tuesday that his office had obtained evidence indicating that the FBI purposefully – and illegally – leaked information to the Left-wing establishment media then used those stories to justify obtaining FISA court warrants.

“We’ve learned NEW information suggesting our suspicions are true: FBI/DOJ have previously leaked info to the press, then used those same press stories as a separate source to justify FISA’s,” he wrote.

Meadows then also referenced demoted DoJ official Bruce Ohr’s testimony to the House Government Oversight Committee, which took place behind closed doors later Tuesday morning. Ohr and his wife Nellie, who worked for Fusion GPS, the opposition research firm that hired former British spy Christopher Steele to produce the bogus “Russia dossier,” are never mentioned in the FISA applications, either, though the dossier was also used as justification for the FISA warrants.

Meadows’ claim came in part from closed-door testimony from FBI intelligence analyst Jonathan Moffa on Friday, though what he told the Oversight and House Judiciary Committees in a joint hearing is not known, Fox News reported, citing an anonymous source.

The network added:

A source with knowledge of the testimony initially told Fox News that Moffa said FBI personnel would use media reports based on information they leaked to justify applications for Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act warrants, echoing Meadows. The source said Moffa, who worked with controversial former FBI officials Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, acknowledged this “had been a practice in the past.”

But an FBI official pushed back, telling Fox News the initial claims about Moffa’s testimony were incorrect.

The FBI does this all the time

The source clarified that Moffa told lawmakers the bureau often includes media reports to corroborate their work product and surveillance requests but that he “never said directly ‘we utilize FBI leaks for FISAs.’” (Related: Swamp creatures Comey and Mueller leveraged their govt. positions to enrich themselves: Watchdog.)

That said, the source nevertheless noted further that there is a “culture of leaking for their own gain” at the FBI, which then uses media reporting to support their objectives.

“There’s quite a bit of evidence raising concerns that the FBI engages in this without Moffa saying it,” the source told the network.

For months Republicans have been seeking answers to questions about whether leaks played a role in the FBI illicitly obtaining FISA warrants to spy on Trump campaign figure Carter Page – spying that continued well after POTUS Trump won the November 2016 election. Upon his transition into office in January 2017, the president was told about the bogus dossier but not that his campaign had come under surveillance – or “wiretapped” as he tweeted in March of last year.

But Meadows stood by his claim – regarding Moffa and the charge the FBI purposefully leaked to the fake news media, so it could use those bogus reports to get surveillance warrants.

“Jonathan Moffa made it clear to the committee the FBI routinely uses media reports to corroborate analytic work product. We have emails and texts plainly showing the FBI leaks to the media, raising major red flags. If FBI executives want the American people to believe they haven’t used leaks to their advantage, they are not being honest,” said Meadows, Fox News reported.

He added: “We know that some people at the Department of Justice and the FBI actually gave information to the media, then the stories were reported. Then they used those reports to justify further investigations. You know, that’s like saying, ‘we’re going to incriminate on one hand, and be the jury on the other.’ It just doesn’t work that way.”

Except that so far it has worked that way. Where is Jeff Sessions – or anyone at the Justice Department who is still honest enough to bring charges, even if it means charging some of their colleagues?
