Somehow, the "gun-free zone" failed to stop bullets
The mall where the tournament took place was another "gun-free zone" that failed to stop a murderer from opening fire, astonishingly. The world has yet to figure out why "gun-free zone" signs don't stop people from using guns. Meanwhile, gun control advocates call for expanding gun-free zones to encompass the entire nation, figuring that the only reason they don't work is because they aren't large enough.
Importantly, Katz acquired his firearms legally, purchasing them in Baltimore, Maryland where gun purchases are more restricted than almost anywhere else in the nation. He reportedly purchased the firearms in the last month and followed all gun purchase background checks, proving yet again that expanding gun background checks would not have stopped this mass shooting.
