As we’ve been reporting now for months, social media giants Facebook, YouTube, Google, and Twitter – with Instagram, Spotify, and Apple beginning to join in – have all been silencing, shadow banning or censoring outright conservative, pro-POTUS Donald Trump voices because they can’t compete with us on a level playing field.
The free exchange of ideas which allows for unfettered debate is just not something the Left and supportive Democrats are willing to engage in, so they impose their views on the entirety of the country through authoritarian means.
But even when “the Right” steps up to join the Left in condemning true hate, it’s still not good enough for the little Nazi sunflowers at the social media companies – proving again that they’re only interested in promoting Left-wing groupthink.
As Zero Hedge reports, firebrand founder of Proud Boys and co-founder of Vice magazine Gavin McInnes has just been banned by Twitter, along with a number of related accounts:
And this came after he denounced the Alt-Right White Supremacist rally in Washington, D.C, held over the weekend.
Zero Hedge noted further:
The timing of Mcinnes's [sic] account suspension is suspect, as he was banned shortly after declaring that his organization is in no way associated with the "Unite the Right II" white supremacist rally taking place in Washington D.C. this weekend. The Proud Boys are a "pro-Western fraternal organization" which have made recent headlines following physical confrontations with leftists, particularly Antifa.
What was the ‘offending’ final straw tweet?
McInnes wrote: “It goes without saying #ProudBoys have NOTHING to do with this and won’t go near it. We are a multi-racial group that eschews the Alt-Right and despise DNC operatives such as #OccupyWallStreet’s Jason Kessler.”

Journalist Ali Alexander was rightfully confused by the permanent suspension.
“Gavin McInnes and the Proud Boys, McInnes’ fraternal organization, have been permanently suspended from Twitter. In a strange, mimicking echo, media are connecting this to Jason Kessler’s Unite the Right rally happening in Charlottesville, Virginia this weekend,” Alexander wrote.
‘We’re now the rebels’
“Kessler, a former Occupy activist who was and is anti-Trump, is organizing a rally to get media for his alt-right faction. Conservatives and republicans will not be in attendance. However, that didn’t stop media from linking this anti-insurgent conservative event with insurgent McInnes and his Proud Boys.”
A slew of Left-wing hack media sites like The Hill, Variety, and Mashable all ran headlines linking the three – McInnes, the Twitter ban, and the “Unite The Right” rally – despite the fact that McInnes specifically denounced it.
Reacting to the childish ban, McInnes told Big League Politics: “They think this is going to stop Trump. Maybe if they deplatform us, the socialists will win – but they won’t. We’ve already won. He added, “The Left is trying to make this about Unite the Right. It’s a lie.”
But since when has the truth been an impediment to Left-wing narratives and fictional “news” coverage?
McInnes made another poignant observation about what is going on within the ‘Democratic Party mainstream’ that relates particularly to the social media banning and censorship of conservatives and Trump supporters.
“Antifa and the socialists are the mainstream now and we’re the rebels,” he said.
As to related Proud Boys Twitter accounts, they were also banned due to the platform’s policy against “violent extremist groups.”
What outright, blatant BS. The platform continues to allow all Antifa thugs and other Left-wing groups like It’s Going Down – groups that actually advocate violence– to remain online.
The Left isn’t interested in ‘getting along,’ ‘sensible debate,’ or ‘agree to disagree.’ They seek power, period, and their sycophantic allies running social media are willing to engage in the same authoritarianism to achieve total victory.
