FBI, DOJ should be criminally prosecuted, independent investigator finds

After skirting the law — and responsibility — for years in their attempt to undermine and bring down a duly-elected president, are Deep State operatives from the Obama era about to face a legal reckoning?

The answer is yes if bombshell reports that broke late last week are correct.

On Thursday investigative journalist Paul Sperry dispatched a pair of tweets that contained devastating information which, if true, indicate that the Trump administration is close to lowering the boom on many of those who may have violated federal statutes so the Obama administration could spy on the president’s 2016 campaign.

“BREAKING: IG Horowitz has found ‘reasonable grounds’ for believing there has been a violation of federal criminal law in the FBI/DOJ's handling of the Clinton investigation/s and has referred his findings of potential criminal misconduct to Huber for possible criminal prosecution,” Sperry wrote in the first tweet.

He followed that one up with yet another bombshell.

“BREAKING: Comey/Yates targeted Gen. Flynn in C.I. investigation a yr BEFORE he communicated w Russian ambassador in Dec 2016 as a transition official--and the trigger was Flynn sitting at same table w Putin at Dec 2015 Moscow event, even tho Green Party's Jill Stein also at table,” he wrote.

In summary, these two tweets indicate several things. First, that Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz has sent AG Jeff Sessions’ hand-picked U.S. prosecutor, John Huber of Utah, criminal referrals involving Obama-era figures in the Justice Department and the FBI who, allegedly, intentionally botched the Hillary Clinton email investigation.

Huber has been tasked with investigating alleged malfeasance by certain FBI and Justice Department officials during the 2016 election cycle.

‘Multiple subjects’ are named

Also, Sperry says that fired FBI Director James Comey and fired Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates were targeting Trump’s first national security advisor, retired Army Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, long before Flynn joined Trump’s team (officially) and became a member of his administration. The question now is…why? (Related: Bombshell: Comey’s FBI approached Russian oligarch weeks before 2016 election to push phony Trump collusion narrative.)

Since Sperry’s tweets there has been additional reporting substantiating his breaking news.

In January 2017, before Trump was inaugurated, Horowitz was tasked with reviewing the actions and behavior of the FBI and DoJ in the months leading up to the November 2016 elections. On Thursday The Wall Street Journal appeared to both confirm Sperry’s claims while indicating that Horowitz was close to releasing his much-anticipated report:

Multiple subjects of a report on the Justice Department’s handling of a 2016 investigation into Hillary Clinton’s email use have been notified that they can privately review the report by week’s end, signaling the long-awaited document is nearing release.

Those invited to review the report were told they would have to sign nondisclosure agreements in order to read it, people familiar with the matter said. They are expected to have a few days to craft a response to any criticism in the report, which will then be incorporated in the final version to be released in coming weeks.

Sperry’s and the WSJ’s reporting follows an earlier New York Times report — also from last week — detailing how the Obama administration spied on the Trump campaign, including cultivating “assets” (spies) inside the organization, under the fake guise of a “counterintelligence investigation.”

The reason? A familiar one by now: Suspected Russian collusion — the same narrative used to justify the appointment of Robert Mueller as special counsel. The problem is there never was any collusion and everyone who is about to be named in the IG’s report knows it.

How so? Because they were among the cadre of Obama-era officials who devised the scheme, which was implemented before Trump even won the GOP nomination and continued after he won the election in an effort to drive him from office.

It sounds like a Hollywood script, for sure, but unfortunately for our country, it’s not.
