During a hearing before the House on Wednesday, Rep. Marsha Blackburn ripped into Mark Zuckerberg for using algorithms to censor conservative content.

“I’d like to ask you, do you subjectively manipulate with your algorithms to prioritize or censor speech?” Rep Blackburn asked Zuckerberg.

Naturally, Zuckerberg obfuscated and gave a very generic answer about using algorithms to weed out terrorism.

“Congresswoman, we don’t think about what we are doing as censoring speech. I think that there are types of content like terrorism that I think we all agree we do not want to have on our service. So we build systems that can identify those and can remove that content and we’re very proud of that work,” Zuckerberg said.

Rep. Blackburn wasn’t having it. She immediately shot back with, “Let me tell you something right now. Diamond and Silk is not terrorism.”

It’s nice to know that Mark Zuckerberg thinks people who support President Trump are in the same boat as ISIS terrorists.
