What is of grave concern to medical experts is the fact that thousands of otherwise healthy people across 42 states, who theoretically are not at risk of flu complications, have become dangerously ill from influenza this year. While it is to be expected that those who are at higher risk of complications, including young children, pregnant women and the elderly over the age of 65 would be more vulnerable, this year, the flu has left a trail of destruction across every age group in the country.
And, of even more concern to the mainstream medical establishment is the fact that many of these formerly healthy people were vaccinated against the disease before becoming ill. (Related: Discover what the medical community isn't telling you at Vaccines.news.)
While “responsible” media outlets continue to insist that everybody should rush out and get their flu shot if they haven’t already done so, most admit somewhere in the body of their articles that this year’s shot simply isn’t working (though in truth, it never really does).
In answering the question, “Does the flu vaccine work?” USA Today noted:
Those who have been vaccinated lessen their risk of contracting influenza B and influenza A (H1N1) the most, according to the CDC.
The most common strain so far this year is A (H3N2). The CDC said the vaccine offers less protection against this one because H3N2 is more likely to have changed than other strains since the vaccine was formulated. The vaccine is about 30% effective against H3N2, according to the CDC. [Emphasis added]
So, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), getting the shot might lessen your chances of getting sick by 30 percent at best.
But is that even true?
Natural News has been warning its readers about the uselessness and dangers of the flu vaccines for many years. For example, last year we reported that there are at least four good reasons not to get the flu shot:
But the risks associated with flu shots are even worse than the fact that they don’t work or carry serious side effects. Getting the shot actually weakens your immune system for years, and makes you substantially more susceptible to other strains of the virus. So, if for example, you dutifully get this year’s shot which protects against the wrong strain of the virus, you are actually putting yourself at increased risk of contracting the far more dangerous strain that is currently circulating.
Vaccine truth advocate, Dr. Suzanne Humphries, a respected nephrologist, explained, “There’s one great study that showed that after you take an influenza vaccine, you are 4-5 times more likely to get either a different strain of influenza infection or a non-influenza viral infection that can be very nasty, like coxsackievirus and echovirus – they can actually paralyze you. They can be really nasty, nasty viruses, as opposed to the people who got saline placebo, which we actually don’t see very often … Those studies are out there and can prove that what we’re saying is actually true.”
Her expert advice?
“So what I would say is that, anyone in my family who has any respect for me, I would advise them not to take a vaccine ever. I don’t care how old you are. I think that they’re all potentially dangerous, and I think that they’re not necessary. I think there are much better ways to deal with potential illness.”
