As reported by Fox News, the Justice Department has officially launched a full-scale investigation into Planned Parenthood’s questionable practices, which includes the sale of fetal tissue.
According to a letter recently obtained by Fox News, Justice Department Assistant Attorney General for Legislative Affairs Stephen Boyd has made a formal request for documents from the Senate Judiciary Committee, which also happens to be the same committee that led the congressional probe into Planned Parenthood. (Related: Planned Parenthood could face federal charges for trafficking baby body parts.)
“The Department of Justice appreciates the offer of assistance in obtaining these materials, and would like to request the Committee provide unredacted copies of records contained in the report, in order to further the Department’s ability to conduct a thorough and comprehensive assessment of that report based on the full range of information available,” Boyd wrote in the letter.
Boyd went on to explain that the documents are going to be used solely for investigative purposes, and that a resolution from the Senate would be necessary if the materials were to be used for other legal matters. “At this point, the records are intended for investigative use only – we understand that a resolution from the Senate may be required if the Department were to use any of the unredacted materials in a formal legal proceeding, such as a grand jury,” Body wrote.
Truthfully, this investigation is long overdue. The harvesting of baby parts for profit represents the highest form of immorality and the fact that so many Americans (particularly those on the left) accept it and even embrace it is horrifying. Planned Parenthood needs to be brought to justice, and this investigation is certainly a good starting point in the pursuit of that goal.
Back in October, David Daleiden and the Center for Medical Progress released a video entitled “First Day at StemExpress Inside Planned Parenthood,” which featured a revealing conversation between Daleiden and former StemExpress employee Holly O’Donnell.
In the video, O’Donnell is seen describing her first day of work with StemExpress inside of a Planned Parenthood facility. She states that even though she didn’t know what exactly her responsibilities would be as a StemExpress employee, she recalls her employer showing her a clear pie dish filled with tiny baby parts and blood. O’Donnell then explains how her employer asked her to put on a pair of gloves and pick up one of the fetal limbs with a pair of tweezers, an experience O’Donnell says made her feel the pain “radiate through my hand” and caused her to start to feel woozy.
In the past, it has also been revealed that at one point, a “technician” at a Planned Parenthood clinic harvested the skin of an aborted Down Syndrome baby and sold it for $325, and then proceeded to sell the same baby’s leg for an additional $325. Further, it has been proven that the company Advanced Biosciences Resources has purchased aborted fetuses from Planned Parenthood in the past, and then used it to harvest and sell everything from the baby’s brain, to its liver, to its eyeballs.
With any luck, Americans will one day look back on the practice of abortion and wonder how on earth it was at one time considered normal and acceptable. But until then, investigations will continue to be carried out and justice will continue to be served.
