Take the case of the leader of the so-called “Women’s March” that was held in Washington, D.C., distastefully on the day after President Donald J. Trump was inaugurated. Tens of thousands of women, many of whom paraded around like idiots in “vagina” stocking caps, were on hand to protest ‘the end of the world’ and, specifically, ‘the end of women’s rights,’ in the era of Trump.
So far, you may have noticed, neither of those things has happened.
In any event, so consumed with Trump Derangement Syndrome and so wedded to Left-wing ideology and the current cause celebre was march organizer Linda Sarsour that she completely shrugged off a question about the Islamic world tradition of female genital mutilation because some white guy asked the question.
And this is what the Left calls reasonable disagreement.
As reported by The Daily Caller, while speaking recently at Dartmouth College, where she wasn’t attacked, booed off stage or otherwise intimidated by conservative, Trump-supporting students, Sarsour was asked about a tweet she sent out in 2011 where “she pondered taking away the vaginas of an activist and a female genital mutilation survivor” two of whom were, of course, political opponents: Brigitte Gabriel and Ayaan Hirsi Ali (the tweet has since been deleted from Sansour’s account). The tweet read:
“Brigitte Gabriel = Ayaan Hirsi Ali. She’s asking 4 an a$$ whippin’. I wish I could take their vaginas away- they don’t deserve to be women.”
As noted by Campus Reform, a male student — white — asked, “Hi. So, um, this question is really important because I believe that women’s rights are human rights. So I really want to know under what circumstances is it acceptable to say that ‘I wish I could take away their vaginas. They don’t deserve to be women’?”
Sarsour tried to wiggle away from the question by noting that a white male student had shown up at an event organized by an Asian-American, as if that is supposed to be some sort of disqualifying trait (and, sadly, to Leftists it is).
“So let’s give some context here. This is an event organized by an Asian-American, right?… celebrating a community right? Talking about communities of color who are being directly impacted at this moment and I have a white male in the back who is not directly impacted by any of the issues I mentioned,” she said to a round of applause from the clapping seals in attendance.
Next, she completely dismissed the tweet out of hand as some “stupid sh*t” she did in her 20s.
Right.
Now, for the real kicker: Sarsour is of Palestinian descent. Though she was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., her heritage, you would think, would make her acutely sensitive to this subject — sensitive, as in, an outspoken critic of it, especially given the fact that she grew up in the United States, where most people — even liberals — are disgusted by the practice of FMG, which still happens today.
Nope. Left-wing ideology and politics first, foremost and always; common sense, decency, standing up for what’s right regardless…never.
What ought to make you really sick about this sordid business is that Sarsour and Marxist-Leftists who think like she does never put themselves in a position to be seriously challenged by anyone who has the ability to do so on an intellectual level and in a venue that favors neither party.
That’s because deep down, when they’re not somewhere they can bully people or garner instant universal support for their lunacy, they’re really just pathetic cowards.
