While lots of technologies that are currently being developed pose all sorts of dangers to those that use them as well as the world at large, what Tesla is doing here serves as an inspiring reminder that we don't need natural resources in order to generate energy. We just need the sun -- something that will be available to us until the entire universe is destroyed.
Though the technologies have yet to be made available to the public, there are high hopes for them.
Darrell Etherington of Tech Crunch reports, "Tesla’s solar tiles claim to be able to power a standard home, and provide spare power via the new Powerwall 2 battery in case of inclement weather or other outages. Musk says that the overall cost will still be less than installing a regular old roof and paying the electric company for power from conventional sources."
The rest of the world needs to follow suit with this kind of creativity, as it is only a matter of time before we run out of the natural resources that keep the modern world running. We should all be concerned about what will happen when they eventually cease to exist and the most logical way to fix this problem is by finding new ways to generate power. Solar and wind energy have proven to be reasonable and effective, yet many people are rejecting them for reasons that just don't make a lot of sense.
Very few people seem to think that we should have respect for our planet and that is just a depressing fact about our society these days. We elect awful politicians to make our lives miserable and avoid logical solutions to the problems that are destroying the world we inhabit. The only way to truly solve these issues is through education, but since the the mainstream media cannot be trusted in that regard, it's up to the people to educate each other on these issues -- lest we want to be destroyed altogether.
Tesla's new inventions could help all of this. Will you be a buyer?
